Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an encapsulating material composition, a solar cell module using the same, and a method of manufacturing a solar cell module using the same.
Solar power generation is a clean power generation technology that produces electricity from sunlight. Photovoltaic power generation facilities consist of a solar cell (module) that generates electricity by receiving sunlight, a power regulator that converts the generated direct current into alternating current, and a battery that stores the electricity generated in the daytime. Generally, the module that generates electricity is composed of glass, encapsulant, solar cell, and backsheet.
EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer), which is currently used as an encapsulant, is a substance that is inserted between the front and rear surfaces of the solar cell and the surface material to protect moisture-sensitive solar cell devices. EVA satisfies the characteristics such as transmittance, adhesive force and elasticity to some extent, but requires a separate crosslinking step in vacuum and high temperature, which may lower the production speed and production efficiency of the solar cell module. In addition, EVA has a problem of deteriorating efficiency of a solar cell module due to corrosive substances such as acid generated during crosslinking and yellowing due to long-term ultraviolet exposure.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a solar cell encapsulation material composition, a solar cell module using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof.
The present application relates to solar cell encapsulant compositions. Exemplary encapsulant compositions do not require a cross-linking process (such as vacuum squeezing) (such as EVA in sheet form takes about 15 minutes). In addition, the composition is excellent in production speed and production efficiency because it is possible to perform a roll-to-roll continuous process by applying the adhesive liquid itself and proceeding thermal curing (takes several minutes). In addition, it is superior in moisture resistance than EVA encapsulant by using material resistant to humidity, and it does not cause acid corrosion due to crosslinking unlike EVA, thereby preventing the deterioration of photoelectric devices and enhancing UV cut-off characteristics to suppress yellowing .
Hereinafter, the encapsulant composition of the present application, the solar cell module including the same, and the method of manufacturing the same will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, but the attached drawings are illustrative and the solar cell module is limited It is not.
Exemplary solar cell encapsulant compositions of the present application include a base resin, a tackifier. The term " base resin " as used herein means a resin which is a main raw material in the composition. In one example, the base resin may be a resin containing 30 parts by weight or more of the total weight of the composition.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the base resin has a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1).
1][Chemical Formula 1]
In Formula 1, R 1 and R 2 are each independently hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
In particular, the number of carbon atoms in the alkyl group may be preferably from 3 to 10, more preferably from 5 to 8. By providing the base resin having the repeating unit represented by Formula 1, it is possible to provide an encapsulating material composition capable of producing an encapsulating material having excellent moisture barrier properties.
In one example, the base resin may be a copolymer containing 90 mol% or more, 93 mol% or more, or 96 mol% or more of polyisobutylene or isobutylene. The mol% of the above content means the content based on the total molar amount of the monomer or polymer constituting the base resin. The upper limit of the above content means that no impurities other than polyisobutylene are contained.
