Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a battery module and an energy storage device having the battery module, and more particularly, to a battery module that can uniformly manage temperature of battery cells in a compact and efficient manner, thereby prolonging the life of the battery cell, And more particularly, to a battery module capable of maximizing efficiency and an energy storage device having the battery module.
Recently, battery modules are widely applied to mobile phones, notebooks and electronic devices. BACKGROUND ART [0002] A battery module manufactured and released in recent years is formed into a module form by combining a plurality of battery cells.
Such a battery module may be used as an automobile power source in addition to a non-electronic device. A vehicle with a battery module is called an electric vehicle.
On the other hand, a battery module that can be applied to an electric vehicle is not only very large in size as compared with a mobile phone charging type, but also has a large number of built-in battery cells. However, it is difficult to apply the battery cells when the life span of the battery cells is short or their energy efficiency is low.
Accordingly, in recent years, a technology has been developed to maximize the energy efficiency of battery cells while extending the life of battery cells mounted on the battery module.
In order to maximize the energy efficiency of the battery cells while extending the lifetime of the battery cells applied to the battery module, it is necessary to uniformly manage the temperature of the battery cells. That is, the temperature for a plurality of battery cells must be uniformly managed through the heating and cooling methods.
If the temperature of the battery cells is uniformly controlled, not only the lifetime of the battery cell can be extended but all the battery cells can be fully charged, and the energy stored in the battery cells can be fully utilized The power density can be improved. Therefore, the mileage of the electric vehicle can be extended when applied to an electric vehicle. Particularly, when the external temperature is low, there is an advantage that the battery cells are heated to perform quick charging and quick operation.
In order to maximize the energy efficiency of the battery cells while extending the service life of the battery cells, it is known that the temperature management of the battery cells is important. Among the battery modules that have been developed or planned to be developed, The life of the battery cell is short and the energy efficiency of the battery cell is low. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new concept of a battery module to solve the problem.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a battery module capable of uniformly managing the temperature of battery cells in a compact and efficient manner, thereby prolonging the life of the battery cell and maximizing its energy efficiency, Energy storage device.

1, the energy storage device according to the present embodiment can uniformly manage the temperatures of the
For reference, the energy storage device according to the present embodiment shown in FIG. 1 can be used as a power source of an electric vehicle, for example. That is, the energy storage device shown in Fig. 1 may be a power source of the electric vehicle instead of gasoline or light oil.
Of course, the scope of the present invention is not limited to these matters. In other words, the energy storage device according to the present embodiment is not necessarily applied to electric vehicles. That is, the energy storage device according to the present embodiment may be applied to a variety of devices and systems as a power source in addition to electronic devices.
As will be described in detail below, the temperature of the
Therefore, the life of the
When the system as shown in FIG. 1 is implemented, the user installs the
The detailed structure of the
Accordingly, temperature management of the
On the
On the
Meanwhile, as described above, the cooling
On the other hand, the
In detail, in this embodiment, the
The memory 262 (MEMORY) is connected to the
The support circuit 263 (SUPPORT CIRCUIT) is coupled with the
Although processes according to the present invention are described as being performed by software routines, it is also possible that at least some of the processes of the present invention may be performed by hardware. As such, the processes of the present invention may be implemented in software executed on a computer system, or in hardware such as an integrated circuit, or in combination of software and hardware.
In the case of the energy storage device described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 14, the present invention can be implemented by applying a new
Hereinafter, a detailed structure of the
The
In addition, the
The
First and second
For reference, air cooling may be considered. However, due to the limitation of the heat capacity of the
Next, the
On the back surface of the
A plurality of
Next, the control printed
The control printed
Next, the
Finally, the
Meanwhile, in this embodiment, the
In this case, the
The
As shown in FIGS. 8, 9, and 15 to 17, the
In this embodiment, the
In other words, the first and
Accordingly, when the first and
One end of each of the first and
A plurality of
At this time, the first to
In this embodiment, four
One end of the
The anode and the anode of the
The anode-
The
The
A plurality of cathode side rib holes 153 and a plurality of cathode side arc protrusions 154 are also provided on the cell
Since the anode of the
In addition, due to the above-described structure of the
In particular, when the temperature is sensed for each of the
In addition, it is possible to monitor the current of the
As described above, in the present embodiment, since the
According to this embodiment having the structure and function as described above, it is possible to uniformly manage the temperature of the
