Description

[0001] HEALTH CARE SERVICE APPARATUS AND METHOD USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION [0002]

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a healthcare service apparatus through biometric authentication, and more particularly, to a healthcare service apparatus and method for performing an access control function and a health information providing function.

As well as the development of the information and the Internet, the scale of the industry related to the online electronic commerce and the identity verification has been enlarged and the demand of the accurate personal authentication has become bigger, and as a means of authenticating it, a PIN (Personal Identification Number ) Or the limit of the password method reached saturation.

On the other hand, user authentication through biometrics is widely used in embedded systems or personal computers such as ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) and the like, In recent years, the use of mobile devices has been expanding as technology advances.

The most important characteristic of biometric information, including fingerprints, is that there is no risk for forgetting such as a password, and there is a unique advantage that the authentication can not be performed unless it is the person himself. In particular, fingerprints have the same shape throughout their lifetime, and even if they are hurt by external factors, they are reproduced in an existing form, and the probability of having fingerprints of the same type as others is extremely rare.

In this regard, fingerprint access control systems have long been accepted as a means of biometrics in many areas of biometrics. As a result, research on fingerprint access control system has been advanced, and technology has been expanded to various application fields such as authentication of electronic commerce through network beyond the inherent area of access control and time attendance management.

However, the current technology for biometric authentication focuses only on the function for authenticating users, and research on a system for integrally managing authenticated user's personal information together with user authentication is still in an insufficient stage. Particularly, it is required to allow the user to confirm his / her health information in an easy and natural way along with the user authentication, or to provide the user's health information authenticated by fingerprint recognition together with the attendance information so that the relationship between the two information can be easily grasped It is necessary to develop a system that can contribute to improving work efficiency.

Referring to FIG. 1 includes an input unit 110, a fingerprint information extraction unit 120, a control unit 130, a health information acquisition unit 140, and an output unit 150. The healthcare service apparatus 100 includes an input unit 110, a fingerprint information extraction unit 120,

The input unit 110 receives fingerprints from the user's finger. More specifically, the input unit 110 may include a fingerprint input window, a light source, and a camera. When a user touches a fingerprint input portion of a finger with a fingerprint input window of a finger 110, the user generates light necessary for fingerprint image capturing from the light source of the input portion 110, and the camera of the input portion 110 touches the fingerprint input window The fingerprint can be received by capturing the image of the fingerprint. The input unit 110 may receive a fingerprint once or a plurality of times.

The fingerprint information extracting unit 120 extracts the fingerprint information based on the fingerprint input inputted to the input unit 110. When the fingerprint input is performed a plurality of times, the fingerprint information can be extracted by averaging a plurality of fingerprint inputs.

The control unit 130 compares the fingerprint information received from the fingerprint information extraction unit 120 with previously stored fingerprint information to determine whether or not the user is authenticated. That is, when the received fingerprint information shows a degree of agreement with one of the previously stored fingerprint information, the authentication decision can be made for the user who has input the fingerprint. The authenticated user can be allowed to access or access a certain space around the healthcare service apparatus 100 through the biometric authentication.

The health information obtaining unit 140 obtains the health information of the user based on the previously stored personal information of the user authenticated in the control unit 130. [ More specifically, when the fingerprint information matching the fingerprint inputted by the controller 130 is selected from among the previously stored fingerprint information, the health information obtaining unit 140 searches the user's previously stored personal information corresponding to the selected fingerprint information, And obtains the user's health information based on the retrieved personal information. The health information may be directly derived from the personal information, and the health information corresponding to the personal information may be transmitted to the healthcare service apparatus 100 through the storage space or the biometric authentication in the healthcare service apparatus 100 through the biometric authentication, Or retrieved from a networked database.

The output unit 150 outputs the health information of the user obtained by the health information obtaining unit 140 in a form that the user can recognize. The output unit 150 may be realized through a device capable of visually recognizing an output such as a monitor or a device capable of audibly recognizing an output such as a speaker.

Hereinafter, the operation of the healthcare service apparatus 100 through the biometric authentication operation including the above-described configuration will be described with reference to FIG.

First, the fingerprint of the user is input through the input unit 110. The input unit 110 may receive one or a plurality of inputs, and the fingerprint information extraction unit 120 extracts the fingerprint information based on the at least one input. At this time, if the input is a plurality of times, the fingerprint information can be extracted by averaging a plurality of fingerprint inputs. The controller 130 compares the fingerprint information received from the fingerprint information extractor 120 with previously stored fingerprint information to determine whether the user is authenticated. That is, if the fingerprint information stored in the stored fingerprint information includes fingerprint information having a predetermined level of agreement with the fingerprint information received from the fingerprint information extracting unit 120, the user is authenticated. Otherwise, the authentication is denied. According to the authentication result, the control unit 130 may allow the authenticated user to access the specific area.

The health information obtaining unit 140 obtains the health information of the user based on the pre-stored personal information of the user authenticated in the control unit 130. [ According to the embodiment, the user's date of birth can be included in the stored personal information, and the biorhythm based on the user's date of birth can be included in the user's health information. The output unit 150 outputs the health information of the user acquired by the health information acquisition unit 140 so that the user can recognize the health information.

Through the above process, the user can receive his / her health information while receiving the user authentication through only one operation of recognizing the fingerprint on the input unit 110. As a result, the user can easily ascertain his / her present health condition with high frequency, so that the health promotion can be promoted and ultimately the work efficiency can be improved.
