Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a discharge member having an auxiliary inflow path formed therein and an electrode material mixture coating apparatus including the same.
Recent trends in electronic industry development can be summarized as device's wireless, mobile trend and analog to digital conversion. Rapid dissemination of wireless phones (aka mobile phones) and notebook computers, and the transition from analog cameras to digital cameras are examples of this.
Along with this tendency, research and development of a secondary battery as an operation power source of a device is actively proceeding. Among them, a lithium secondary battery having a high output and capacity by weight using a lithium transition metal oxide, a lithium composite oxide, or the like as a cathode active material has attracted much attention. The lithium secondary battery has a structure in which a positive electrode / separator / negative electrode assembly is embedded in a sealed container together with an electrolyte.
On the other hand, the electrode generates a current through the exchange of ions, and the positive and negative electrodes constituting the electrode are formed by applying an electrode active material to an electrode plate made of metal.
Generally, the negative electrode has a structure in which a carbon-based active material is coated on an electrode plate made of copper or aluminum, and an electrode plate made of aluminum or the like is coated with an active material made of LiCoO 2 , LiMnO 2 , LiNiO 2 or the like .
In order to maximize the output of the secondary battery, it is most important to apply the electrode mixture containing the electrode active material to the electrode plate used as the electrode plate in a uniform thickness.
However, in the conventional discharging member, there is a coating amount variation in the electrode plate coating portion of the secondary battery due to the regional distribution difference of the minute discharge amount between the center portion and the side portion.
Particularly, the conventional discharge member has a structure in which an electrode mixture for a secondary battery is supplied to one inlet by using a single supply pump. In this case, when the inlet is located at the center of the rear end of the discharge member, So that the variation in discharge amount between the inner side portion and the outer side portion of the discharge port located is further increased.
This coating amount deviation causes a difference in battery capacity in the electrode coating of the secondary battery, resulting in a capacity variation between the produced batteries.
In addition, in the case of electrode coating, not only a coated holding part but also an uncoated part used as aluminum or copper foil are also important, so that the side surface of the holding part also requires precise control of the amount of coating.
Therefore, there is a great need for a technique relating to a discharge member capable of uniformly coating the entire electrode coating portion of the secondary battery.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art and the technical problems required from the past.
The inventors of the present application have conducted intensive research and various experiments and have found that a supply of an electrode material mixture to supply an electrode material mixture to the electrode material mixture on the side of the delivery part of the discharge member, It is confirmed that the thickness non-uniformity of the electrode mixture which may occur at both ends of the electrode can be solved by making it possible to control the minute discharge flow rate at one side portion of the discharge port when the auxiliary inflow path communicated with the pump is formed , Thereby completing the present invention.
In order to accomplish the above object, a discharge member according to the present invention is a discharge member for applying an electrode mixture containing an electrode active material onto an electrode plate,
전극 합제가 유입되는 유입구; An inlet through which the electrode mixture flows;
At least one outlet for discharging the electrode mixture onto the electrode plate; And
상기 유입구로부터 유입된 전극 합제가 배출구 방향으로 이송되도록 유입구와 배출구에 연통되어 형성되어 있는 이송부;A transfer unit formed to communicate with an inlet port and an outlet port so that the electrode mixture introduced from the inlet port is transferred toward the discharge port;
And,
And an auxiliary inflow path communicating with a supply pump for supplying an electrode mixture is formed on one side of the transfer unit so as to control the thickness of the electrode mixture applied on the electrode plate.
At this time, one side of the conveyance unit refers to one side of the left and right sides with respect to the conveying direction of the electrode mixture.
That is, since the discharge member according to the present invention forms an auxiliary inflow path that can supply the electrode mixture to one side of the transfer part, the discharge amount discharged in a certain time of the electrode mixture applied on one end of the electrode plate is precisely Can be adjusted. More specifically, for example, when it is necessary to increase the discharge amount of the electrode mixture applied on one end of the electrode plate, the additional electrode mixture is introduced through the auxiliary inflow path, whereby the amount of the electrode mixture discharged at one side of the discharge port It is possible to increase the thickness of the electrode coating applied on one end of the electrode plate and to reduce the discharge amount of the electrode compound applied on one end of the electrode plate, The thickness of the electrode coating applied on one side of the electrode plate can be reduced.
Accordingly, the discharging member according to the present invention is formed by forming the auxiliary inflow path communicating with the supply pump for supplying the electrode mixture to one side of the transfer part of the discharging member, so that the thickness of the electrode mixture applied on both ends in the width direction of the electrode plate It is possible to minimize variations in the discharge amount between the inner side and the outer side based on the width direction of the discharge port of the discharge member and to improve the thickness uniformity of the electrode mixture.
On the other hand, the conventional discharge member has a problem in that the discharge amount is concentrated on one side of the discharge port adjacent to the discharge port, while the discharge amount of the discharge portion becomes smaller as it goes to the outer side of the discharge port facing the one side of the discharge port.
Therefore, the discharging member according to the present invention may have a structure in which a stepped portion is formed in contact with the discharge port in a state in which the discharging member protrudes inward from the inner surface of one side of the transferring portion, and the interface of the stepped portion is tapered inwardly .
In one specific example, the outlet may be two, and a partition wall may be formed to partition between the two outlets, and the step may be formed on one inner surface of the outlet facing the partition wall. .
In addition, when the step is formed on the inner surface of one side of the discharge port facing the partition wall partitioning the discharge ports, the discharge amount of one side of the discharge port formed with the step difference can be increased. It is possible to solve the problem that the discharge amount decreases toward the outer side, and the thickness of the coated electrode coating can be made uniform.
The width between the barrier ribs and the stepped portion may be the same as the width of the electrode plate coating portion. That is, the width of the electrode mixture is determined according to the distance between the stepped portion formed in contact with the discharge port and the partition wall.
In one specific example, the auxiliary inflow passage may have a structure that penetrates one outer surface of the discharge member and one inner surface of the transfer unit, wherein an opening is formed in one outer surface of each of the discharge members and one inner surface of the transfer unit .
More specifically, the auxiliary inflow path may be formed on one inner surface of the transfer unit where the step starts, with reference to the moving direction of the electrode mixture. More specifically, one inner surface of the auxiliary inflow path may be connected to the interface . ≪ / RTI >
Also, the width of the auxiliary inflow path may be in the range of 0.1% to 5% of the entire width of the transporting portion with respect to the moving direction of the electrode mix. At this time, if the width of the auxiliary inflow path is less than 0.1%, the inflow amount of the additional electrode compound can be put too low, and if the width of the auxiliary inflow path is more than 5% It is difficult to adjust within an error range of the electrode thickness measuring sensor.
In one specific example, the auxiliary inflow path may be a structure in which the auxiliary inflow path extends from an opening formed in the outer surface of the discharge member to a range of 10 to 80 degrees with respect to the moving direction of the electrode mixture, May range from 20 degrees to 60 degrees, and more specifically from 30 degrees to 45 degrees based on the discharge direction of the electrode material mixture.
In addition, the auxiliary inflow path may have a structure in which the auxiliary inflow path extends at an angle equal to the inclination of the step boundary surface with respect to the discharge direction of the electrode mixture and meets with the transfer part.
In one specific example, the supply amount of the auxiliary inflow path may be in the range of 0.01 wt% to 5 wt% of the total amount of the electrode mixture introduced into the inlet port. In particular, when the supply amount of the auxiliary inflow path is less than 0.01 wt% , It is difficult to adjust the inflow amount of the electrode mixture to be added within the tolerance range of the electrode thickness measuring sensor because the inflow amount of the electrode mixture to be added is too small and conversely if it exceeds 5 wt%
Meanwhile, the discharging member according to the present invention may further include an opening / closing device for controlling whether or not the electrode mixture introduced through the auxiliary inflow path is supplied.
In one specific example, the opening and closing device may be configured to move the tip of the transfer part where the stepped portion is formed so that the auxiliary inflow path disappears, in the direction opposite to the moving direction of the electrode compound mixture, And an opening / closing control member for controlling an operation of returning the distal end portion of the transfer portion to the home position.
At this time, the distal end portion of the conveyance portion is a portion including a step protruding inward on the inner surface of one side of the conveyance portion and a side portion of the conveyance portion formed with the step. That is, it refers to one side portion of the conveyance portion from the auxiliary inflow path to the direction in which the discharge port is located.
In another specific example, the opening and closing device may include an opening and closing member for opening and closing the auxiliary inflow passage, and an opening and closing adjusting member for moving the position of the opening and closing member.
Specifically, the opening / closing control member may move a part of the opening / closing member so as not to supply the electrode mixture through the auxiliary inflow path to block an arbitrary point of the auxiliary inflow path, The operation of returning the opening / closing member blocking the auxiliary inflow path to the home position can be performed.
In particular, any point in the auxiliary inflow path may be the inlet from which the auxiliary inflow path starts, or vice versa, or it may be between the inlet and the outlet. More specifically, the opening and closing member can be positioned adjacent to the inlet, and when it is necessary to close the auxiliary inflow passage, a part of the surface of the opening and closing member can be moved to close the inlet of the auxiliary inflow passage. Thus, when the opening and closing member is located at the entrance, it is easy to control opening and closing and to install the opening and closing member. In contrast, when the opening and closing member is located adjacent to the outlet, it is possible to prevent interference with the flow of the electrode mixture by the auxiliary inflow path during the application of the electrode mixture.
In one specific example, the opening / closing member may be located adjacent to the auxiliary inflow path, and the opening / closing regulating member may be located on one side of the discharging member facing the position of the opening / closing member, The member may be inserted into one side of the auxiliary inflow path.
In one specific example, the opening and closing member may be in the form of a plate pin including one surface having a larger area than the sectional area of the auxiliary inflow passage with respect to the inflow direction of the electrode mixture in the auxiliary inflow path. However, It can be applied variously as long as one side of the member can close the auxiliary inflow path.
In one specific example, the opening and closing regulating member may be an analog type bolt type device or a jog dial type device, or may be a pneumatic regulating device or a pin gear device operated by a digital signal, but is limited thereto The present invention can be applied to various devices or devices using an analog system or a digital signal system.
In one specific example, the discharging member can use a slit-die method suitable for application of a relatively viscous slurry-like material.
As a more specific example,
A lower plate including an inlet extending upwardly from one lower side, a chamber communicating with the inlet, and a lip extending from the chamber to the other side; And a top plate located on the upper portion of the lower plate and including a lip extending laterally to form a feed portion and an outlet by combination with the lower plate.
The present invention also provides an electrode material mixture coating apparatus including the discharge member.
The electrode material mixture coating apparatus may include a storage tank in which the electrode mixture is stored, and at least one pump that transfers the electrode mixture stored in the storage tank to the discharge member.
