Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a torque sensor, and more particularly , to a collector assembly and a torque sensor including the same.
Generally, an electronic power steering system (EPS) is an apparatus for assuring the steering stability of a vehicle. It uses a motor to provide a torque in a direction in which the driver steers the steering wheel so that the handling becomes light.
Unlike conventional hydraulic power steering (HPS), such an electric power steering system can improve the steering performance and steering feeling by controlling the operation of the motor according to driving conditions.
It is necessary to measure the torque, steering angle and steering angle velocity applied to the steering shaft in order that such electric power steering apparatus can provide appropriate torque.
The general steering structure includes an input shaft to which a steering wheel is coupled, an output shaft to be coupled to a pinion to be engaged with a rack bar on the wheel side, and a torsion bar for connecting the input shaft and the output shaft.
When the steering wheel rotates, rotational force is transmitted to the output shaft, and the direction of the wheel changes due to the action of the pinion and the rack bar. At this time, if the resistance is large, the input shaft rotates more and the torsion bar is twisted. It is the magnetic field type torque sensor that measures the twist degree of the torsion bar.
The torque sensor is provided with a rotor and a stator accommodated in a case together with a collector and a printed circuit board, and the thus provided torque sensor is accommodated in the housing and connected to the input shaft and the output shaft.
However, when the assembly process is carried out twice, a large number of people and costs are required for assembling, so that the manufacturing cost is increased, and the case and the housing are not tightly coupled, resulting in the occurrence of shaking of the input shaft and the output shaft.

At least one of the first housing and the second housing may have a support portion for supporting the opposite case.
