Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a powder spray coating apparatus, and more particularly, to a powder spray coating apparatus for cooling a powder sprayed by a coating member to improve brittleness so as to improve the coating effect by fracture of powder.
As shown in FIG. 1, ceramic powder having a size of 0.5 to 5 μm, which is provided in the powder supplying part 210 ', is supplied to the gas supplying part 250' from a room temperature vacuum spray coating method And the ceramic powder is formed in a floating state in the transfer gas and transferred to a coating chamber of a low vacuum for coating.
That is, while the ceramic powder is accelerated by the pressure difference between the transfer gas and the low vacuum chamber, the powder collides with the coating member such as a substrate and is broken by the brittleness of the ceramic powder.
Part of the ceramic powder colliding with the member to be coated collapses and is laminated. The powder that does not break is bounced off without being laminated, and only a part of the broken powder is laminated, and the remaining powder that is not laminated is also separated.
Partial deposition occurs at the same time as the powder collides, but at the same time, erosion is caused, and the coating that is not densely stacked on the coating is peeled off, and shot peening effect Resulting in a fairly dense ceramic coating.
However, the conventional vacuum spray coating process is a process based on a lamination mechanism in which powder particles are accelerated by collision due to a pressure difference between the transfer gas and the low-pressure chamber, Lamination efficiency is very low, less than 1%, and has limitations that require high brittleness of process application materials.
The material to be applied to the room-temperature vacuum spray coating method is limited to ceramic materials forming covalent bonds such as oxides, nitrides and intermetallic compounds such as Pb (Zr, Ti) O 3 , TiO 2 , Sm-Fe-N and NiZnCu ferrite. Since it has ductility and plasticity such as a metal material, it is disadvantageous that it is impossible to laminate a material which is hard to be broken due to collision.
Meanwhile, the coating of the metal powder is carried out by charging the metal powder into the high-pressure supersonic transfer gas, accelerating and colliding with supersonic velocity to cause the powder to undergo plastic deformation at an extremely high strain rate, (200 ~ 600 m / s) at an accelerating speed of 500 ~ 1,200 m / s, and the lamination efficiency is more than 80% in the optimized process.
However, powder with a size of 3 ㎛ or less is difficult to be stacked because it can not be accelerated. Therefore, it is necessary to use a powder having a size of about 20 ㎛ and it is difficult to form a thin film having a thickness of 1 to 30 ㎛. In addition, since a nozzle having a diameter of 1 cm is used for supersonic acceleration, it is impossible to form a large-area coating in a short time.
Therefore, there is a need for research into a powder spray coating apparatus for solving the above-mentioned problems.

Meanwhile, the secondary
The cooled
Particularly, when the
However, when the
A ceramic material such as an oxide, a nitride, or a carbide, or a ceramic matrix composite material, which is
Further, since the conveying gas is set at the normal pressure and the room temperature, it is difficult to accelerate the
On the other hand, when the
As described above, since a high impact velocity is required for the lamination through the plastic deformation of the
Accordingly, in order to propose a device capable of coating the
If the coating material can be diversified because it can form a coating of a soft material at a low impact velocity, the wave surface formed through the brittleness of the powder (2) forms a coating, so that a dense coating with a porosity of less than about 5% And the stacking efficiency can be improved to about 40% or more.
The
Also, a temperature meter is installed in the
The length, diameter and material of the powder

On the other hand, it is preferable to perform an optimized design for the material, process conditions, and coating structure according to the structure design according to the purpose of use of the

The remaining process parameters which are not listed below can be performed in accordance with the conventional supersonic powder vacuum flow process conditions. As long as those skilled in the art are aware of the special conditions of the present invention, And can be applied using conventional process conditions known in the art. Hereinafter, each material and process parameters will be described in detail.

It is advantageous for the

The
The yield strength of the powder (2) at room temperature is 50 to 1,000 MPa and the tensile strength is 100 to 1,500 MPa, which may have a wide range of strength. However, the impact strength at low temperature is limited to 10 to 100 J desirable.
That is, the

In the supersonic powder vacuum flow laminating process, unstable interfacial bonding occurs due to the high surface energy of the new surface created by fracture of the powder (2) during the collision of the particles (2). That is, when the powder (2) breaks, the new surface generated in the fracture does not form an atomic bond, so surface energy is increased. When such new surface-to-surface contact occurs, a bond is formed to transition to an energy stable state.
When the
That is, the
The
When the

진공바디의Of a vacuum body 압력 pressure
The
Temperature and pressure
The heating temperature of the transfer gas heated by the
That is, in order to accelerate in the flow field of the transfer gas, it is desirable to increase the temperature of the transfer gas to increase the flying speed of the transfer gas by the thermal expansion.
Here, the lower limit temperature of 25 ° C means room temperature, and the upper limit temperature of 500 ° C increases the particle velocity as the transport gas temperature is higher, but erosion of the coating may occur at a certain collision speed of the powder (2) The temperature is set to be lower than 500 ° C. because the low-temperature spraying equipment is subjected to a continuous runaway to cause durability problems in the equipment.
On the other hand, it is preferable that the pressure of the conveying gas to which the conveying gas is pressurized by the

In addition to the above-mentioned conditions, it is preferable to further control the following process parameters in order to further improve the coating property and to control the thickness of the coating layer.
5 ~ 40 Spray distance: 5 ~ 40 mmmm
The spraying distance (distance between the outlet of the
1 ~ 1,00 Moving speed of nozzle: 1 ~ 1,00 mmmm /s/ s
The moving speed of the nozzle can be determined by calculating the number of the
The transport gas used for the supersonic powder vacuum flow coating using the above-described conditions may be nitrogen, helium, air or a mixed gas thereof. Since the type of the transport gas does not greatly affect the coating property , And the kind of the transfer gas is not particularly limited. However, it is more preferable to use air or nitrogen as the transfer gas in consideration of the production unit price according to the price of the transfer gas.

In carrying out the coating experiment, the
When the primary cooling of the
The coating area was 10 × 300 ㎟ in all coating conditions. The laminating efficiency of the coating was calculated as a ratio between the weight of the
Details of the coating structure and properties are shown in Table 3. It can be seen that the coating structure is improved in terms of denseness and laminating efficiency in all embodiments as compared with Comparative Example 1. [
As the secondary powder cooling temperature decreased, the coating thickness increased and the structure became denser and the laminating efficiency improved. The cooling efficiency of the powder was found to be the most efficient at -60 ~ -45 ℃ for the used powder and the feed gas. When the effective cooling temperature was varied according to the type of powder (2) It is generally possible to distribute at a cooling temperature ranging from -100 to -30 占 폚. The coating properties can be excellent even at a temperature of -100 DEG C or lower. However, at -100 DEG C or lower, the process cost is increased and the apparatus maintenance is difficult to control, so that the proper cooling temperature range is limited to -100 DEG C or higher. Evaluation of coating properties The coatings formed under the conditions of a cooling temperature of -35 占 폚 or less showed good resistance to powdering, and microhardness was similar for all coatings.
