Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to an input plug assembly and an adapter using the same,

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an assembly of an input plug and an adapter using the same, and more particularly, to an assembly of an input plug and an adapter using the same, which can easily and electrically and physically connect an input plug of an electronic device with a circuit board.

Generally, an input plug of an electronic device is inserted into an outlet to serve as an intermediary for supplying power to the electronic device.

Such an input plug is electrically connected to a circuit board of an electronic device to supply power. In the conventional case, a structure is used in which an input plug is electrically connected to a circuit board using a separate electric wire.

However, since the conventional input plug assembly uses a separate connecting wire, there is a disadvantage that a separate process is required to join the connecting wire to the circuit board and the input plug when assembling the input plug.

Further, since a separate space is required for the connection wire to be installed inside the housing to which the input plug is fastened, there is a problem that miniaturization of the input plug housing is hindered.

In order to solve this problem, a technique of caulking and coupling an input plug to a circuit board is disclosed in Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2011-0136462. However, in this case, since the operation of caulking the circuit board tube input plug has to be performed, the manufacturing process is still complicated.

Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2011-0136462

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view schematically showing an adapter having an input plug assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a state in which the circuit board of FIG. 1 is separated, Fig. 4 is a perspective view schematically showing a circuit board and an input plug according to the present embodiment, and FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of a portion B in FIG.

1 to 5, the input plug assembly according to the present embodiment has a structure in which an input plug 30 and a circuit board 20 are connected to each other in an adapter 100 or the like.

The adapter 100 according to the present embodiment includes a circuit board 20 having a housing 10, an input plug 30, and a connecting member 25.

The housing 10 may be formed of an insulating resin material and protects the components contained therein from the outside. A pair of insertion holes 12 may be formed in the housing 10. The insertion hole 12 may be formed in a size and shape corresponding to the cross section of the input plug 30, where the input plug 30 is inserted.

The adapter 100 according to the present embodiment is formed in a thinner thickness than the width. Therefore, the circuit board 20 described later can be inserted into the housing 10 in a sliding manner. The circuit board 20 inserted into the housing 10 may be coupled and fixed in parallel with the input plug 30 fastened to the housing 10.

The circuit board 20 is installed in the inner space of the housing 10 and functions to rectify the AC voltage applied from the input plug 30 to a DC voltage of a desired level through a transformer can do.

The circuit board 20 according to the present embodiment can be formed at a position adjacent to the insertion holes 12 of the housing 10. [ Also, at least one pair of connecting members 25 are fastened to one surface of the circuit board 20 according to the present embodiment.

The connecting member 25 is a place where one end of an input plug 30 to be described later is inserted and electrically connected. The connecting member 25 can be formed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the end of the input plug 30 so that the input plug 30 can be firmly contacted.

More specifically, the connecting member 25 according to the present embodiment may include a connecting portion 26 mounted on the circuit board 20 and a plug connecting portion 27 into which the input plug 30 is inserted and coupled .

The joint portion 26 is connected to the circuit board 20 by an electrically conductive solder or the like and is electrically and electrically connected to the circuit board 20. Therefore, though not shown, the circuit board 20 may be formed with an electrode pad at a position where the bonding portion 26 is bonded.

The plug coupling portion 27 is formed to extend in a bent form at the joint portion 26 and can be formed in a substantially curved 'C' shape.

5, the plug coupling portion 27 has a receiving space S in which one end of the input plug 30 is inserted and accommodated, A pressing portion 28 for pressing the input plug 30 is disposed.

The pressing portion 28 may be formed in a curved shape of 'S' shape. More specifically, the pressing portion 28 is formed so that the width of the pressing portion 28 facing each other in the receiving space S is wide, and the width of the facing portion S in the portion forming the inlet E of the receiving space S is relatively narrow .

The pressing portion 28 is formed in a shape extending from a portion forming the back surface of the accommodation space S, and can provide an elastic force. Therefore, when the input plug 30 is inserted between the narrow widths of the pressing portion 28, the pressing portion 28 can be elastically narrowed in width.

The input plug 30 is formed in the shape of a pair of conductive rods and is fastened to the housing 10 so that one end is inserted into the housing 10 and the other end is exposed to the outside of the housing 10. At this time, the other end exposed to the outside is inserted into an outlet (not shown) to receive power.

The input plug 30 according to the present embodiment is fastened to the housing 10 such that one end thereof protrudes into the housing 10 and the protruded portion is coupled to the connecting member 25, Physical, and electrical connections.

In more detail, the input plug 30 according to the present embodiment includes a protrusion 34 projecting radially outward at one end. The projection 34 may protrude from the input plug 30 in the form of a flange. The projecting portion 34 is inserted into the plug engaging portion 27 of the connecting member 25 and is disposed in the internal accommodating space S of the plug engaging portion 27.

At this time, the diameter of the projection 34 is smaller than or approximately equal to the width of the accommodation space S, and is formed larger than the entrance E of the accommodation space S (the narrower portion between the press portions). Therefore, when the input plug 30 is inserted into the plug fitting portion 27, the input plug 30 is not easily separated from the circuit board 20 by the protruding portion 34 and the pressing portion 28.

The input plug 30 is formed so that the diameter of the body disposed at the inlet E of the accommodation space S is larger than the width between the pressurizing portions 28 formed at the inlet E of the accommodation space S do. The pressing portion 28 elastically contacts the input plug 30 with the inner surface of the inlet E portion of the receiving space S in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the body of the input plug 30. [ Thus, the input plug 30 according to the present embodiment can be electrically and physically coupled to the connecting member 25. [

Next, a method of manufacturing the adapter according to the present embodiment will be described.

Referring to FIG. 2, the method of manufacturing the adapter 100 according to the present embodiment first fixes the input plug 30 to the housing 10. This can be achieved by integrally molding the housing 10 together with the input plug 30 in the process of injection molding. It is also possible to form the housing 10 and the input plug 30 and then connect the input plug 30 to the insertion hole of the housing 10 to join them.

Then, the circuit board 20 to which the connecting member 25 is coupled is inserted into the housing 10. Here, as described above, the adapter 100 according to the present embodiment is formed to be thin. Thus, the circuit board 20 can be inserted into the housing 10 in a sliding manner.

When the connecting member 25 comes into contact with one end of the input plug 30, the protruding portion 34 of the input plug 30 is pressed against the plug fitting portion 27 of the connecting member 25 by pressing the housing 10, . The width of the inlet E portion of the accommodating space S of the pressing portion 28 of the plug engaging portion 27 is elastically expanded by the protruding portion 34, (S), it contracts again and comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the body of the input plug (30).

The circuit board 20 is physically and electrically coupled to the input plug 30 through the connecting member 25 to complete the adapter 100 according to the present embodiment.

The input plug assembly and the adapter using the same according to the present embodiment configured as described above are electrically connected to the circuit board through the connection member fastened to the circuit board. And the connecting member receives one end of the input plug using an elastic force and is engaged with the input plug.

Accordingly, since the input plug and the circuit board are electrically and physically connected to each other by the fitting engagement, there is an advantage that manufacturing is easy. In addition, since the connecting member and the input plug are physically and electrically connected to each other elastically, it is possible to prevent problems such as dropping of contact due to an impact applied from the outside, and electrical contact reliability can be ensured.

In addition, the assembly of the input plug and the adapter using the same according to the present embodiment are directly electrically connected to the circuit board and the input plug through the connecting member. Therefore, since the distance between the input plug and the circuit board can be minimized, the circuit board and the input plug can be easily electrically connected while utilizing a narrow space in the housing. Therefore, the volume of the entire adapter can be reduced and the internal space can be used more efficiently.

The assembly of the input plug according to the present invention and the adapter using the same are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications may be made by those skilled in the art within the technical scope of the present invention.

For example, in the above-described embodiments, the input plug body is formed in a cylindrical shape, but the present invention is not limited thereto. That is, the outer surface of the portion contacting with the pressing portion may be formed to be angled (for example, a square cross section) so that the pressing portion and the input plug are in line contact with each other.

In this embodiment, the input plug assembly used in the adapter is described as an example. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and various electronic apparatuses may be used as long as the electronic apparatus is constructed by electrically connecting a circuit board and a conductor (e.g., an input plug).
