Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a ball joint, and more particularly, to a ball joint used for a steering link of an automobile or a control link of a suspension.
In general, a ball joint is widely used as a joint means having a spherical joint function, and it surrounds the ball stud or surrounds the ball stud and the ball seat to support the ball stud, The socket consists of a spring that absorbs the vibration and impact of the ball stud and keeps the friction torque of the ball stud constant. have.
Among these types of ball joints, those applied to a large commercial vehicle are a grease injection type having a ball seat made of a metal material and a spring, a ball seat and a socket formed integrally with each other so that there is no separate ball seat, Non-grease type, which has a spring seat made of rubber to absorb vibration and impact.
1, the grease-type ball joint includes a
The ball joint assembly and the knuckle are separately manufactured and assembled by bolting to press the ball joint assembly to the knuckle or by forced pressing by applying pressure.
On the other hand, lubricant is applied between the
However, since the lubricating oil is a lubricating grease having a high viscosity, the lubricating grease is high in viscosity, and therefore, it is lodged in the groove groove or in the inner empty space when the ball stud 10 swings and swings.
Since such a grease-type ball joint has a weak spring tension over time, there is a problem that the rigidity of the spring must be increased in order to withstand a large load or impact, and when the rigidity of the spring is increased, There is a problem that the moving torque of the ball stud is increased and the wear of the ball seat (bearing) is promoted.
In addition, when the force is transmitted, there is a problem that rotation torque of the ball joint is increased and smoothly transmitted.
As shown in FIG. 2, the non-grease type ball joint includes a
The
The
The
In order to improve the torque of the ball stud due to the high rigidity and to improve the frictional force, the
