플렉서블 디스플레이의 왜곡 보정 방법 및 이를 이용한 기기 {method for correcting distortion of flexible display and device using the same}
플렉서블 디스플레이
일반적으로 이동 단말기에서 디스플레이 모듈은 시각적으로 정보를 표시하기위해 사용되는 것으로, 액정디스플레이(liquid crystal display), 박막트랜지스터액정디스플레이(thin film transistor-liquid crystal display), 유기발광다이오드(organic light-emitting diode), 플렉시블디스플레이(flexible display), 3차원디스플레이(3D display) 등으로 구성될 수 있다. 또한 최근에는 플렉시블 디스플레이(flexible display) 기술이 개발되어 디바이스를 접거나 말수 있게 되었지만, 동시에 사용자 시각에서 디스플레이의 정보 왜곡 발생된다.
따라서 이러한 정보 왜곡을 줄이기 위한 방법이 요구된다. 또한 손쉬운 소프트웨어 방식으로 왜곡을 보정할수 있는 방법이 요구된다.
플렉서블 디스플레이의 구부림 강도에 따라 사용자에게 왜곡되어 보여지는 문제를 해결하기 위해 화면을 역왜곡을 시키는 방법 및 이를 이용한 기기을 제공한다.
플렉서블 디스플레이부가 휘어진 위치 및 강도를 판별하는 구부림 판별부; 상기 구부림 판별부의 값에 따라 역왜곡된 정보를 구성하는 정보 구성부; 그리고 상기 정보구성부의 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 기기를 제공한다.
간단한 알고리즘을 통해 왜곡문제를 실시간으로 해결할수 있다.
손목밴딩, 세워두기, 기울여두기 등 다양한 컨텍스트에서 생길수 있는 왜곡문제를 해결함.
더 나아가, 표현되는 정보의 역왜곡 뿐 아니라 입력에서의 왜곡(경사가 높은부분과 낮은부분의 불일치성)도 동일한 역왜곡 알고리즘을 적용할 수 있음.
도 1은 일실시예에 따른 플렉서블 디스플레이의 왜곡 보정 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
본 발명은 플렉서블 디스플레이의 구부림 강도에 따라 사용자에게 왜곡되어 보여지는 문제를 해결하기 위해 화면을 역왜곡을 시키는 방법 및 이를 이용한 기기에 대한 것으로, 플렉서블디스플레이부가휘어진위치 및 강도를 판별하는 구부림 판별부; 상기 구부림 판별부의 값에 따라 역왜곡된 정보를 구성하는 정보구성부; 그리고 상기 정보구성부의 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 플렉서블 디스플레이의 구부림 강도에 따라 사용자에게 왜곡되어 보여지는 문제를 해결하기 위해 화면을 역왜곡을 시키는 방법 및 이를 이용한 기기에 대한 것으로, 일실시 예에서 좌우로 구부리는 경우 구부리는 중심점을 기점으로 좌우를 expand 시킨다(도 1 참조).

Claims (1)

  1. 사용자 제스쳐로 인해 일어나는 컨텐츠의 움직임 속도에 따라 백라이트휘도를디밍(dimming)하여 전력을 절감하는 방법으로서, 해당 컨텐츠의 움직임을 분석하는 움직임 분석 단계와; 분석된 움직임에 따라백라이트의휘도 값을 결정하는 단계와; 조절된 휘도값으로백라이트를 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 장치의 디밍 구동방법.
