Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an LED drive control device. More specifically, in the LED drive control device that controls power by using a Current Transformer (CT) sensing method, even when some of the LED arrays of the plurality of LED arrays connected in parallel with the power are damaged, the plurality of LED arrays may be damaged without additional damage. The present invention relates to an LED drive control device capable of driving an LED array.
In general, the control method of a power supply device for driving an LED (Light Emitting Diode) can be largely divided into a constant voltage output control method and a constant current output control method, and the constant voltage output control method is more sensitive to voltage fluctuations than current fluctuations. Due to the characteristics of the LED, the difference in output increases even with small voltage fluctuations. Therefore, a constant current output control method is mainly used.
In addition, the current sensing method for controlling the constant current output can be largely divided into a resistance sensing method and a current transformer (CT) sensing method. Among the resistance sensing methods, a multi-channel parallel structure is generally used to reduce the probability of failure. By connecting a resistor to each of the LED arrays in series and sensing the current flowing through the LEDs through the resistors, the current of each LED array can be measured directly, so that the output current can be accurately controlled.
However, in the case of the resistance sensing method, the load must be directly connected to the ground, and a loss may be caused by the resistance. In order to reduce the loss caused by the resistance, a separate component for boosting the sensing voltage or a sensing voltage is required. The value of the reference voltage to be compared with the reference voltage should be set small. However, when the value of the reference voltage is set small, it may react sensitively to some noise, and thus, the power supply may not be accurately controlled.
1 is a block diagram of a conventional LED driving device of the current transformer sensing method, Figure 2 is a detailed block diagram of the power control unit of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, in the case of the power control unit 5, the current sensed by the current transformer 4 is rectified in a Zener diode D, and a direct current is applied through an RC filter F composed of a resistor and a capacitor. After the voltage is obtained, the operation is performed by comparing the DC voltage with a predetermined reference voltage in the comparator Comp to control the output of the
As described above, in the case of the current transformer sensing method, since the average current flowing through the current transformer 4 and the output current output after rectifying from the
However, in the case of the
That is, since the remaining LED array except the damaged one LED array consumes the power supplied from the
