Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a touch screen panel, and in particular, a large area touch screen can be realized by minimizing an area of a bezel, which is an edge portion, using a via hole in a capacitive touch screen. The present invention relates to a capacitive touch screen panel and a manufacturing method having a via hole capable of preventing a loss of a detection signal generated at a touched point by reducing a self resistance of an electrode pattern layer in which a touch is sensed.
In general, a touch screen refers to an input device that inputs a user's command by touching instructions displayed on a display screen using a human hand or an object.
To this end, the touch screen converts a contact position directly contacting a human hand or an object provided on the front face of the image display device into an electrical signal. Accordingly, the instruction content selected at the contact position is received as an input signal.
Such a touch screen may be replaced with a separate input device that is connected to an image display device such as a keyboard and a mouse, and thus its use range is gradually expanding.
As a method of implementing a touch screen, a resistive film method, a light sensing method, and a capacitive method are known.
The capacitive touch screen converts a contact position into an electrical signal by detecting a change in capacitance formed by a conductive sensing pattern around another sensing pattern or a ground electrode when a human hand or an object touches the touch screen.
1 is a view schematically showing a conventional capacitive touch screen. Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional capacitive touch screen has a plurality of
In this case, a portion where the X-axis sensor channel and a Y-axis sensor channel for detecting a touched point are formed is called an active area, and a portion where the electrode is formed is called a bezel.
Looking at the X-axis sensor channels arranged in plurality at regular intervals, it consists of a diamond-shaped sensor array (Sensor array) for detecting a large touch position and a bridge electrode connecting the sensor array, capacitive type The electrical signal generated by being touched by the sensor array is a very fine signal. As the resistance value of the sensor channel itself is larger, the sensing signal may not be input to the controller.
In particular, when the sensor channel itself is an indium tin oxide (ITO) having a large resistance, the high resistance of the sensor channel itself makes it impossible to implement a large area touch screen.
At this time, the portion of the sensor channel to increase its resistance is a very thin bridge electrode connecting the array of diamond pattern, when the width of the bridge electrode is widened to reduce the resistance of the sensor channel, the other sensor channel There is a problem that can not recognize the correct touch value due to interference with the.
On the other hand, in general, a touch screen of about 3.5 inches to 4 inches applied to a smartphone has about 10 to 14 Y-axis sensor channels on the horizontal axis, and about 6 to 10 X-axis sensor channels on the vertical axis are applied.
At this time, in order to implement a large-area touch screen for extracting high-resolution coordinates, the number of channels must be increased vertically and horizontally. As the number of channels increases, the number of electrodes connected to each sensor channel also increases. When the number of electrodes is increased, the width of the inactive region (Bezel), which is the portion where the electrode is formed, must be widened, which makes it impossible to miniaturize the final finished product due to the increase of unnecessary inactive regions.
An object of the present invention devised to solve the above-described problems, even if the sensor channel is additionally arranged to implement a large-area touch screen, the width of the inactive area (Bezel) that is the portion where the electrode connected to the sensor channel is formed does not increase On the contrary, the present invention provides a capacitive touch screen panel and a manufacturing method including a via hole capable of minimizing an inactive area by using a via hole.
In addition, an additional problem of the present invention is a power failure having a via hole capable of preventing an increase in resistance of the sensor channel itself caused by the additional arrangement of the sensor channel and the extension of the length of the sensor channel for implementing a large area touch screen. According to the present invention, even if the sensor channel is additionally arranged to realize a large-area touch screen, the width of the inactive region Bezel, which is the portion where the electrode connected to the sensor channel is formed, does not increase.
