1 is a perspective view of an electric wheelchair equipped with a pseudo-expression apparatus using EMG according to an embodiment of the present invention, Figure 2 is a configuration diagram for explaining the operation principle of the pseudo-expression apparatus using the EMG shown in FIG. .
1 and 2, the electric wheelchair according to the present embodiment includes a
The
The
The
The preprocessing means 220 converts the EMG signal obtained by the
The
For example, in the present exemplary embodiment, four digital signals may be generated by using EMG signals obtained from four EMG sensors (for convenience of description, the numbers of each digital signal are 1,2,3,4). Each digital signal or combination of digital signals can be matched with sentences used in everyday life. For example, when the digital signal 1 is input, the phrase "hello" may match, and the combination of the digital signals 1 and 2 may match the sentence "thank you."
Meanwhile, as shown in the following table, the protocol may be set such that the digital signal represents an alphabet or a sign.
When the protocol is set as described above, the user may indicate his / her intention by contracting (force or move an arm or neck) the muscle according to the protocol. For example, if you want to express "HELLO", digital in the order of [4], [3,2], [4,2,2], [4,2,2], [4,3,2]. You just have to move your arms and neck to output the signal.
The
The
As described above, when the pseudo-expression apparatus and the electric wheel body using the EMG according to the present embodiment are used, a severely disabled person who is unable to speak and has limited movement can express his / her intention smoothly. In particular, when the user is in the electric wheelchair, there is no special movement, such as hydration or writing, but only by applying force to the part where the EMG sensor is mounted, i.e. moving the neck from side to side or holding the armrest of the wheelchair. You can freely express yourself by simply applying strength to your arm in the state. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a problem such as the user's posture is in jeopardy in the process of expressing the pseudo as in the prior art.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described above, the present invention is not limited to the specific preferred embodiments described above, and the present invention belongs to the present invention without departing from the gist of the present invention as claimed in the claims. Various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art, and such changes are within the scope of the claims.
For example, in the present embodiment, the protocol is set so that the digital signal corresponds to the alphabet, but the protocol may be set so that the digital signal corresponds to the vowel and consonant of the Hangul.
In addition, in the present embodiment, the EMG sensor is described as being mounted on the neck and both arms, but it can be mounted on a portion that can be applied relatively freely according to the user's body condition.
