Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a nanowire and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly to a nanowire having a core-shell structure and a method of manufacturing the same.
Metal nanostructure (nanostructrue) technology can be applied to a variety of applications, such as electronic devices, magnetic devices, catalysts, medical diagnostics. In particular, metal nanowires (nanowires) manufactured using nanoplates (nanotemplate) has attracted great attention because it can easily control the size, shape, crystallinity and the like. In fact, nanowires have a wide range of applications, including nanomechanical systems, next-generation highly integrated magnetic memories, fuel cells, nanobiosensors, and cell separation.
Nanomagnets (nanomagnet) is a three-dimensional structure, such as a spherical, linear or tubular, a structure that has a magnetic property of less than a few hundred nanometers of the minimum unit (thickness, diameter or length) of one dimension. These nanomagnetic materials are used as advanced materials for nucleic acid and protein diagnostic reagents, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents, and pyrogens for malignant cells. Moreover, the nanomagnetic material is also used as an advanced material applicable to many fields, such as chemotherapy additives, cell membrane regulators, cell separators, and career tracking agents of labeled cells or other biomolecules, drug delivery agents, biosensors, and the like.
On the other hand, the precious metal generally refers to a material that is not easily thermodynamically oxidized compared to other metals, and refers to gold (Au), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and alloys thereof. Precious metals have excellent electrical conductivity, optical properties and corrosion resistance. In particular, gold (Au) has the advantage of having biocompatibility (biocompatibility) can be applied in the field of biotechnology. In addition, gold is easy to impart biofunctionality so that the surface can be chemically and biologically treated to bond with biomaterials (nucleic acid and protein). That is, by modifying a ligand (ligand) on the surface of the gold can be attached to the biomarker (biomarker) or linker (linker), such as disease markers. Therefore, in the medical field, it is possible to improve diagnostics, assays, drug / gene delivery, and heat treatment using gold, and thus research on gold is active.
In addition, gold is widely used not only in the bio industry but also in the electrical and electronic industry. For example, gold may serve as a bonding that connects the lines of the semiconductor circuit board. However, the recent surge in gold prices has led to the need for materials to replace them. Accordingly, although copper (Cu) is considered as an alternative metal, copper has a disadvantage of easily lowering electrical conductivity due to easy oxidation. Therefore, a gold or palladium-based noble metal coating method which can prevent oxidation on the copper surface is examined.
Conventional core shell nanowire manufacturing methods are mostly synthetic methods by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and their application fields are limited to solar cells and light emitting diodes (LEDs). The chemical vapor deposition method is advantageous for producing semiconductor nanowires and core-shell nanowires, but is not a suitable method for preparing metal nanowires. In the case of metal core shell nanowires, a manufacturing method using electroplating and nanoframes is required, and new applications that can simultaneously use the characteristics of each layer of the core and shell are emerging.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a core-shell nanowire and a method of manufacturing the same, which form a shell layer using electroless plating. Specifically, the core shell nanowires can be easily mass-produced by applying the electroless plating method, which is a more dense method than electroplating. The core shell nanowires are suitable for application to nanomaterials because the plating layer is dense. In addition, the thickness of the shell layer can be easily adjusted by temperature and time control.

The magnetic material may be at least one selected from the group consisting of nickel, cobalt, iron and alloys thereof.
Furthermore, as an embodiment of the present invention, the shell layer may use a noble metal. The precious metal may be at least one selected from the group consisting of gold, platinum, palladium and alloys thereof.
In the core shell nanowire manufacturing method according to the present invention, by using the electroless plating method in the step of plating the shell layer on the core nanowire, mass production is possible without a complicated device than the conventional electroplating method.
In addition, the magnetic core having a core shell structure according to the present invention (nickel, cobalt, iron and alloys thereof)-the nanowires of the core shell structure of precious metals (alloys thereof, such as gold, platinum, palladium) are bio-functional nanotechnology ( NT) as well as its application in the field of biotechnology (BT).
Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 is a schematic diagram showing a method of manufacturing a core-shell nanowire according to an embodiment of the present invention.
(A) of FIG. 1 shows a nanoframe. The nanoframe includes anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nanoframe, inorganic nanoframe or polymer nanoframe. Here, the size of the nanowires is changed by adjusting the diameter of the pores (nanopore) inside the nano-frame, and the length of the nanowires varies according to the formation time and the current density of the nanowires.
1B is a step of forming an electrode layer in order to fabricate the core nanowires by electroplating (electroplating). This electrode layer serves as a cathode during electroplating. Here, a metal or other conductive material may be used as the electrode layer.
Figure 1 (c) shows a step of forming a nanowire, that is, a core nanowire in each of the pores of the anodized aluminum nano-frame by the electroplating method. An electrolytic solution for electroplating is used in one plating bath as a precursor. After the electrolyte is put into the nano-frame, the electroplating is applied by applying a current.
Figure 1 (d) is a process of separating the nanowires from the nano-frame. This means an etching process for obtaining nanowires. Specifically, the nano-frame is melted to separate the nanowires by treating the nano-frame with a sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution or the like, that is, performing an etching process. Thereafter, the washing process may be performed to obtain nanowires having a clean surface.
According to the present invention, the step of separating the core nanowires from the nano-frame is characterized in that it comprises a washing step required for the electroless plating process. Here, the washing process is for cleaning the surface of the core nanowires. For example, acetone and ethanol are first used to remove organic matter remaining on the surface of the core nanowires. Next, the process of removing all the residue in the specimen contained in acetone using an ultrasonic cleaner.
1 (e) is a step of forming a shell layer using the electroless plating method using the reduction potential of the nanowires obtained in the (d) process. In the electroless plating method according to the method of the present invention, the metal ions in the aqueous metal salt solution are self-catalytically reduced by the force of the reducing agent without receiving electrical energy from the outside. Therefore, the plating which deposits a metal on the surface of a to-be-plated object can be carried out.
The electroless plating method has an advantage that the plating layer is dense and uniform to a thickness of about 25 mm, compared to the electroplating, it can be applied to plastic as well as conductor. For example, in the shell coating process in the gold solution, gold is deposited on the surface of the core by the chemical reaction Au + + e _ Au (s) by the reduction method. At this time, the temperature of the solution is a high temperature (85 ℃ to 95 ℃), it is to thermodynamically lower the activation energy to facilitate the coating of the shell layer.
In addition, the thickness of the shell layer is adjusted by time. In other words, this method does not use electricity as compared with electroplating, and the plating layer is dense. In addition, there is an advantage that the thickness can be adjusted only by time compared to the electroplating thickness is adjusted by the current density and time.
In the core shell nanowire of the present invention, the diameter of the core nanowire is determined according to the diameter of the pores, and the length of the core nanowire is determined according to the time and temperature of the electroplating. The thickness of the shell is determined by the electroless plating time and the length is proportional to the length of the core.
According to the present invention, a core shell nanowire was prepared using nickel (Ni) as a core nanowire and gold (Au) as a shell layer.
First, prepare a nano frame and deposit the electrode layer.
In this embodiment, anodized aluminum nano-frame was used as the nano-frame. Then, a 250-350 nm silver (Ag) electrode layer was formed on one surface of the anodized aluminum nanostructure by electron beam evaporation (see FIG. 1B).
Second, the core nanowires are formed.
구체적으로 설명하자면, 한 개의 도금조 내에 Nickel Sulfate(NiSO4·6H2O, 0.5mol)와 Nickel Chloride(NiCl2·6H2O, 0.1mol) 및 Boric Acid(H3BO3, 0.1mol)을 혼합하여 전기도금을 위한 전해액을 만들었다. Nickel (Ni) nanowires, that is, core nanowires were formed in each of the pores of the anodized aluminum nanoframe by using an electroplating method (see (c) of FIG. 1). Specifically, Nickel Sulfate (NiSO 4 · 6H 2 O, 0.5 mol), Nickel Chloride (NiCl 2 · 6H 2 O, 0.1 mol), and Boric Acid (H 3 BO 3 , 0.1 mol) in one plating bath Mixing made an electrolyte solution for electroplating. After the electrolyte is put into the nano-frame, the electroplating is applied by applying a current. Here, a current density of 20 mA /
Third, separate the core nanowires.
It is an etching process for obtaining individual nickel nanowires formed in the nano-frame (see FIG. 1D). In this embodiment, the anodized nano mold is treated with a solution of 1-6 mol (NaOH) sodium hydroxide (NaOH), that is, an etching process, whereby the nano mold is melted to separate nickel nanowires. Thereafter, a washing process using ultrapure ethanol was performed to obtain nickel nanowires having a clean surface. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of the separated nickel nanowires are shown in FIG. 2.
Fourth, form a shell layer.
A shell layer was formed on the nickel nanowire separated from the ninotle by using an electroless plating method using a reduction potential (see FIG. 1E). A mixed solution of Potassium Gold Gyanide (KAu (CN) 2 , 0.008 mol) and Potassium Cyanide (KCN, 0.18 mol) was used as the electroless plating solution, and the mixed solution was maintained at 85 ° C. to 95 ° C. and 4.6 to 5.5 pH. Electroless plating was performed for about 1 minute in the attached state. Thereafter, a washing step was performed to obtain a nanowire having a nickel (Ni) -gold (Au) core shell structure (see FIG. 3).
