Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an English alphabet input method suitable for a mobile device, and aims to solve the inconvenience of the conventional English alphabet input method.
Until now, Korean input method has been improved in various ways in mobile devices, but English input method has not changed much since the first portable mobile phone terminal appeared in Korea. However, the method widely used at present is to collect one to three or four alphabetic characters on the numeric keys, and decide which character to input by the number of key presses. It can not be said. Due to this inconvenience, the use of text messages is very low even in real English. In the future, it is expected that the spread of personal digital assistants, rather than current mobile phones for simple calls, will become commonplace, and thus, development of convenient English input methods is required.
The present invention seeks to enable fast input by changing the English alphabet selection method without changing the hardware configuration of the existing terminal. In addition, in arranging each alphabet letter, the user can easily know the location of each alphabet letter so that it can be used conveniently.
In order to solve the above technical problem, the present invention devised an input method using the keys located in the upper, lower, left, and right sides of the alphabet based on the pronunciation of the Korean alphabet and the 5th key located in the center of the keypad.
A, E, I, O, U를 하나의 조합으로 한다. Arrange five alphabetic characters and symbols on the keypad of the terminal. The first time a key is pressed during English input, the five characters arranged on the keypad are selected and displayed on the display. Then, using the up, down, left, and right keys as the direction keys, the desired letter is selected from the keys arranged around the 5 key. Using this method, a number key is pressed for the initial selection, and a combination of five direction selection keys centered on the fifth key, that is, two key inputs, selects and inputs a desired character. Selecting a combination of alphabets and selecting the desired character from the selected combination is divided into one press and the next selection, so select the 5th key and the 2, 4, 6, 8 keys pointing up, down, left, and right. Can be used for In constructing each key combination, the concept of Hangul is introduced. Thus, each English letter can be divided into consonants and vowels according to the pronunciation of the Hangul. A, E, I, O, U, which corresponds to Korean vowels, are combined. At this time, E, A, I, O is assigned to the 5th key in consideration of the highest frequency of use, 1, 2, 4, 6, among the English letters, respectively. This makes it possible to efficiently move the fingers and to input them with both hands. Next, alphabetic characters corresponding to Korean consonants are classified according to the following rules. first. It is a syllable and the pronunciation ends with 'ㅣ' as a combination. second. The pronunciation ends with ‘ㅡ’ or ‘ㅠ’ as a combination. third. It is a combination of two or more syllables and ending with ‘ㅣ’. fourth. The alphabetical characters which do not apply to the above provisions shall be one combination. fifth. In the combination, if the number of alphabetic characters constituting each combination exceeds five, the most frequently used or lowly used alphabetic characters are excluded. Sixth. Matters other than the above items are arbitrarily selected according to the intention of the producer in consideration of the input convenience on the mobile device. According to the above rules, the first term <B, C, D, G, P, T, Z>, the second term <F, Q, S, W, X>, the third term <H, A combination of <L, M, N, and R> can be obtained by J, K, V, Y> and the fourth term. In this case, there are seven combinations under the first term, and the fifth clause excludes the most frequently used 'T' and the least frequently used 'Z'. As an example under the sixth clause, 'Z', which has the lowest frequency of use, can be included in the combination of <L, M, N, R>, and 'T', which has the highest frequency of use, can be used as a new combination. You can also add text messages or combinations to consider online abbreviations. The key used due to the above combination is the
By increasing the utilization of each key, a variety of characters and symbols can be assigned to a limited key, so that various characters can be entered concisely without changing a mode such as English / symbol. In addition, it is possible to solve the disadvantage that it is difficult to know the position of each alphabet when rearranging the alphabet. The number of keys arranged with alphabetic characters can be 6 to 7 to simplify the movement of the hand, and can be input quickly with both hands. Because it uses the principles of Hangeul, it can promote the excellence of Hangeul to foreigners.
In the preferred embodiment, when a space is not properly inputted in English, the spacing may be assigned to one key in consideration of difficulty in understanding a sentence. You can also assign one key to make it easier to distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters. 'T' and 'Z', which are placed in English letters on the 1,3,5,7,9 keys or 2,4,5,6,8 keys and excluded from the combination, are often used online in consideration of the movement of fingers. Considering the abbreviations used, one combination can be made with them. In addition, you may want to consider assigning keys to characters that users frequently use. 1 shows an embodiment.
