The present invention relates to a spindle motor.

A typical CD (Compact Disk) has a space between tracks on which information is recorded and a track is 1.7 mu m, while a BD (Blu-Ray Disk) has a track between tracks and a track distance of 0.7 mu m.

Therefore, in the case of a BD with a high gap between the track and the track, it must be supported and rotated more firmly and precisely than the CD. To this end, a spindle motor having a BD guide is inserted into and supported by a brass workpiece, and the center guide member is supported by a spring to improve a careful performance. A spindle motor has been developed, which will be described with reference to FIG. 1.

1 is a partial cross-sectional view of a conventional spindle motor.

As shown, the rotor yoke 13, which is a rotor, is fixed to the rotating shaft 11, which is rotatably installed, and the turntable 15 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 11 above the rotor yoke 13.

On the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft 11 above the turntable 15, the center guide member 17 and the bush 19, which are brass workpieces, are liftably coupled to each other. A spring 21 is provided between the turntable 15 and the center guide member 17. The spring 21 supports the center guide member 17 in the vertical and horizontal directions, thereby providing a disk mounted on the turntable 15 ( 50 is elastically supported so that its center coincides with the center of the rotation shaft 11.

And the felt 25 which the disk 50 contacts and is supported by the turntable 15 is adhere | attached.

The conventional spindle motor as described above has a disadvantage in that the felt 25 is deformed by being pushed outward without the centrifugal force due to the eccentricity when rotating at a high speed. In particular, a clamp (not shown) for pressing and supporting the disk on the upper side of the disk 50 moves the portion of the disk 50 located outside the felt 25 to the felt 25 side, as shown by the arrow position in FIG. 1. Since the pressing, there is a disadvantage that the felt 25 is further pushed outward by the force acting on the disk 50 in the clamp is deformed.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems of the prior art, to provide a spindle motor that can prevent the felt of the present invention is deformed.

Hereinafter, a spindle motor according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

2A is a cross-sectional view of a spindle motor according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2B is an enlarged view of portion “A” of FIG. 2A.

As shown, the spindle motor according to the present embodiment has a bearing housing 110 in which the lower side is fixed to the base 200 perpendicular to the base 200. The bearing 120 is fixed to the inside of the bearing housing 110, and one side of the rotating shaft 130 is supported on the bearing 120 to be rotatably installed.

The stator 140 is fixed to the bearing housing 110, and the rotor 150 that rotates by acting with the stator 140 is fixed to the rotation shaft 120.

The stator 140 has a core 141 fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the bearing housing 110 and a coil 145 wound on the core 141, and the rotor 150 is exposed to the upper side of the bearing housing 110. The rotor yoke 151 fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 120 and the magnet 155 fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the rotor yoke 151 to face the stator 140 are provided. Thus, when a current is supplied to the coil 145, the rotor 150 is rotated by the electromagnetic force formed between the coil 145 and the magnet 155.

The turntable 160 on which the disc 50 is mounted is coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the rotation shaft 130 above the rotor yoke 151. In addition, a center guide member 170, which is a brass workpiece, is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft 130 on the upper side of the turntable 160, and a bush 175 that is a brass workpiece is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft 130 on the upper side of the center guide member 170. ) Is installed.

The inner circumferential surface of the disk 50 is inserted and supported on the outer circumferential surface of the center guide member 170 so that the disk 50 is mounted on the turntable 160, and the bush 175 has the disk 50 inserted into the center guide member 170. Guide as much as possible.

An elastic member 180 is installed between the turntable 160 and the center guide member 170. The elastic member 180 includes a center guide member (ie, the center guide member 170 is aligned with the center of the rotation shaft 130). 170 is elastically supported in the vertical and horizontal directions.

A ring-shaped felt 190 that adheres to the disk 50 and supports the disk 50 is adhered to the top surface of the turntable 160 facing the center guide member 170. The felt 190 prevents the disk 50 from slipping when the spindle motor rotates.

When the spindle motor rotates at a high speed, the centrifugal force due to the eccentricity or the position of the disc 50 outside the felt 190 is lowered from the bush 175 side to the disc 50 side by the centrifugal force according to the eccentricity or the arrow position of FIG. 2A. The felt 190 may be pushed out of the turntable 160 and deformed by the clamp pressed toward the 160.

The spindle motor according to the present embodiment is provided with means for preventing the felt 190 from being pushed and deformed.

The means is formed in the upper edge portion of the turntable 160 is provided with a ring-shaped support protrusion 163, the outer peripheral surface of the felt 190 is in contact with the support. Since the outer circumferential surface of the felt 190 is in contact with the support protrusion 163, the felt 190 is not pushed.

3 is an enlarged view illustrating main parts of a spindle motor according to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

As shown, the means is provided with a support groove 263 formed in the upper edge portion of the turntable 260 and forming a ring shape in which the felt 190 is inserted and supported. Since the felt 190 is inserted into the support groove 263 and the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface are contacted and supported at the same time, the phenomenon of being pushed is further prevented.

As described above, in the spindle motor according to the present invention, since the outer circumferential surface of the felt is supported in contact with the support protrusion formed on the turntable, or the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of the felt are supported in contact with the support groove, the felt is not deformed by being pushed. Therefore, since the disc is stably supported by the felt, the optical pickup can record information in the correct part of the disc and reproduce the desired information from the correct part.

In the above, the present invention has been described in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, but those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains have been changed and modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
