Abstract

Upper and lower couplings easily joined and clamped are provided to simply fix the upper and lower couplings by pressing a clamp into the upper and lower couplings after embedding a cylindrical packing in the upper and lower couplings. Upper and lower couplings(10,10a) easily joined and clamped are characterized in that: the upper and lower couplings are vertically separated and have a cylindrical body packing(20) inserted into inner semi-cylindrical inserting parts thereof such that the cylindrical body packing corresponds to the inner semi-cylindrical inserting parts; band grooves(12,12a) and upward projection rims(13,13a) are formed on edge ends of respective front end parts of the upper and lower couplings where the upper and lower couplings are brought into contact with each other; and the upper and lower couplings are simply joined by joining using a clamp(30) the band grooves and upward projection rims contacted with each other at both ends of the respective front parts of the upper and lower couplings.
