The present invention relates to a refrigerator, and more particularly, to a refrigerator capable of preventing malfunction of a baffle by improving a structure in a cold air duct.

The refrigerator has an compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator which generates cold air while the refrigerant passing through the capillary vaporizes. The cold air generated in the evaporator flows into the cold air duct in which the cold air flow path is formed and is supplied to the storage compartment. The cold air duct is provided with a damper that opens and closes the cold air flow path to control the flow rate of the cold air in order to control the temperature of the storage compartment.

On the other hand, the conventional refrigerator includes a baffle for opening and closing a cold air flow path in which cold air flows so that cold air generated in the evaporator is supplied to the storage compartment, and a baffle driving part for enabling the baffle to operate between an open position and a closed position.

However, in the conventional refrigerator, condensation water may be generated due to the introduction of external air into the storage compartment due to the opening and closing of the door, and defrost water is generated due to periodic defrosting operations due to the freezing of the condensation water. Therefore, when water such as condensed water and defrost water introduced into the baffle drive unit freezes, there is a problem in that the operation of the baffle is not smooth and the user cannot maintain a desired storage temperature.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a refrigerator capable of preventing water from flowing into the baffle driving unit and freezing, thereby smoothing the operation of the baffle and maintaining the temperature in the storage compartment.

When the refrigerator 1 is operated, the refrigerant passing through the compressor (not shown), the condenser (not shown), and the capillary tube (not shown) generates cold air while vaporizing in the evaporator. The cold air generated in the evaporator flows into the cold air duct 10 and is supplied to the storage chamber 6. At this time, the cold air flows into the inlet 12 of the damper casing 11 installed in the cold air duct 10 and flows out of the outlet 13 of the damper casing 11 to guide the cold air to the storage compartment 6. Flow. The outlet 13 of the damper casing 11 is provided with a baffle 14 for flowing and blocking cold air based on the temperature sensed by the thermo-sensing unit 7 provided in the storage chamber 6. In the lower part, a baffle driving part 20 is provided to drive the baffle 14 between the open position and the closed position. Between the baffle 14 and the baffle driving part 20 is a protruding guide portion 15. When the user opens the door 4, condensation water is generated due to external air flowing into the storage compartment 6, and when the condensation water is frozen, defrosting water is generated through defrosting. Then, water, such as condensed water and defrost water, formed in the damper casing 11 falls to the lower part provided with the baffle driver 20, and the guide part 15 interposed between the baffle 14 and the baffle driver 20 is The falling water is guided to both sides of the damper casing 11 so that the water does not flow into the baffle drive unit 20.

Accordingly, by preventing water from flowing into the baffle drive unit to freeze, the operation of the baffle can be smoothed to maintain the temperature in the storage compartment.

As described above, according to the present invention, a refrigerator is provided which prevents water from flowing into the baffle drive unit and freezes, smoothes the operation of the baffle, and maintains the temperature in the storage compartment.
