PURPOSE: A method for extracting a program in which a user is interested using EPG(Electronic Program Guide) is provided to learn data of programs the user watches through an agent and extract programs in which the user is interested based on the learnt data. CONSTITUTION: All of text information corresponding to EPG service of programs a user watches is stored in an EPG table(202). Programs of all the channels the user watches are scanned(203). The text information is extracted from the EPG table and the extracted text information is learnt through an agent(204,205). A program in which the user is most interested is selected from text information corresponding to the scanned channel programs based on the agent-learnt text information(206). EPG is reconstructed using the selected program and output through a display(207,208).
