Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for selecting preferred channels of a digital TV is provided to automatically move and change preferred programs by using program criteria information. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting station prepares the corresponding programs, decides a criteria of the corresponding programs, and inputs criteria information into program information. The broadcasting station sends data including the criteria information to each receiver after audio and video muxing. Each receiver receives the data including the criteria information, extracts the program criteria information to be compared with preference information set by a user. 현재의 아나로그 티브(Analog TV)는 단순히 채널을 선국하면 해당채널만을 시청할 수 있는 비교적 단순한 기능을 가지고 있는 영상시청 매체이다. 이에 반하여 현재, 차세대 TV기술로서 주목을 받고있는 디지털TV는 기존 아나로그TV에 비해 뛰어난 영상과 음질의방송을 제공할 수 있다. 또한 이렇게 음성 및 화상데이터 뿐만아니라 각종 부가데이터도 함께 송신하는데 그중에서는 PSIP(Program System Interface Procool)이라는 부가 데이터도 함께 송신할 수 있도록 규격에 제안되어 있다. 이러한 부가데이터의 에로서 전자 프로그램 가이드(이하 EPG)같은 것을 예로 들 수 있는데 이것은 향후 일정한 시간만큼의 방송프로그램 정보를 미리 보내줌으로서 시청자가 원하는 프로그램을 선택하여 볼 수 있도록 하는데 그 기본 취지가 있다. 그러나 이러한 서비스는 수신기의 본체 버튼이나 단순이 채널변경시에만 이용되는 것으로서 다소 수동적인 서비스를 시청자에게 제공하는 문제점이 있다.Current analog TV (Analog TV) is a video viewing medium having a relatively simple function that can only watch the channel by simply selecting a channel. 이하 제 1도를 참조하여 본발명에 대한 설명을 자세히 하기로 한다.먼저 방송국에서는 해당방송 프로그램을 준비한다. 또한 해당 프로그램의 범주를 결정하고 프로그램 정보내에 범주정보를 아울러 입력한다. 여기서 범주 정보에 대해 자세히 설명하자면 첫째, 분류정보(교육,교양,연예,오락,영화,뉴스,종교,스포츠,드라마등의 대분류 정보와 이를 좀더 세분한 소분류정보)와 둘째,성별정보(남녀 성별 또는 나이에 따른 정보)와 셋째, 지역별정보(행정구역,우편번호 등을 이용한 정보)와 넷째, 직업별 정보(직업에따른 정보)등으로 범주를 정할 수가 있다. 이렇게 범주 정보가 포함된 데이타를 오디오 비디오 먹싱(Audio Video Muxing)후 각 수신기로 전송한다. 한편 수신기 측에서는 이러한 범주 정보가 포함된 데이터를 수신하고 수신된 데이터 중에 포함된 프로그램 범주 정보를 추출하고 수신기에 시청자가 선호범주를 설정한 정보와 비교를 한다.여기서 시청자 설정에대한 설명을 자세히 하기로 한다. 방송사에서 보낸 프로그램 범주 정보를 이용해 자동채널변경을 실행하려면시청자가 수신기에 맞는 설정을 해놓아야 하는데 이러한 설정기능과 관련한 매뉴를 사용자 매뉴에 포함하고 원하는 범위를 시청자가 설정하여야 한다. 여기서 설정방법은 단일설정뿐만 아니라 각각의 설정상태 또는 그값들을 복수개로하여 AND,OR조건으로 검색할 수 있도록 설정할 수 있다. 이렇게 설정시 그 장점은 비교적 정확하게 원하는 채널을 선택 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이렇게 해서 시청자가 자동프로그램을 변경하도록 설정한 경우 수신기는 기 설정된 상태와 실제 수신하여 추출한 범주 정보를 서로 비교하고 판단기준에 만족하는 경우 이에 맞는 프로그램을 선택한다. 이러한 판단 동작은 처음 전원을 켠 경우나 현재 방송하는 프로그램이 끝나는 경우에 하게되며 판단결과에따라 다른 프로그램으로 자동 변경되거나 아니면 현 프로그램을 유지하게 된다. 즉, 시청자가 원하는 프로그램을 계속해서 수동적 채널 변경작업 없이 시청할 수 있게 된다. 이 기능으로 시청자는 자기 취향에 맞는 채널을 계속적으로 관람할 수 있으며 이 기능을 원하지 않을때는 간단히 매뉴에서 자동프로그램 변경기능을 사용하지 않으면 된다. 마지막으로 자동프로그램의 변경 전후의 동작에 관하여 설명한다. 판단기준에 따른 프로그램 변경시 변경이 이루어 지게되면 변경전후에 이변경을 실행할 지를 또는 실행되었는지를 시청자에게 보여줄 필요가 있으며 경우에 따라서는 변경실행을 취소 할 수도 있도록 시청자에게 매뉴를 제공할 수도 있다. 이 매뉴에 의해 변경실행을 시청자가 취소할 경우에는 원래 시청하고 있던 채널로 돌아가면 된다.Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 1.
