Abstract

PURPOSE: Structure for improving durability of a piston of an automatic transmission is provided to improve durability of the piston by absorbing impact between the piston and adjacent parts. CONSTITUTION: In structure for improving durability of a piston(108) of an automatic transmission, shock-absorbing units are installed at the ends of an apply part and a stopper part of the piston. The shock-absorbing units are friction materials(1,3). When the piston is moved toward plates(104), to touch the plate and disks(106) by hydraulic pressure applied to an oil hole(110) of a retainer, the friction material absorbs the impact force contacted with the plate by hydraulic pressure while the friction material copes with the rotational difference of the piston and the plate. Thus, breakage of the apply part of the piston is prevented. If the hydraulic pressure supplied to the oil hole is released, the piston is moved back by the elastic force of return springs(112). The friction material adhered to the rear stopper part absorbs the impact when the piston touches with the retainer. Thus, breakage of the piston is prevented.

자동변속기 피스톤의 내구성 향상 구조{A STRUCTURE OF A PISTON IN AUTO TRANSMISSION}Durability improvement structure of automatic transmission piston {A STRUCTURE OF A PISTON IN AUTO TRANSMISSION}

The present invention relates to an internal structure of an automatic transmission, and more particularly, to a structure capable of improving the durability of a piston which is a component constituting a clutch.

In general, an automatic transmission of a vehicle is composed of a torque converter, a transmission gear mechanism connected to the torque converter, and a hydraulic control circuit for selectively operating a gear of the transmission gear mechanism in accordance with the driving state of the vehicle.

The torque converter includes an impeller that is directly connected to the crankshaft of the engine and rotates, a turbine that is directly connected to the input shaft of the automatic transmission and disposed to face the impeller, and starts the impeller to transmit and recover kinetic energy to the turbine within a certain operating range. It is composed of a stator to change the direction of the oil is to increase the rotational force of the impeller again.

As described above, the output of the engine transmitted to the impeller of the torque converter is transmitted to the transmission gear mechanism through the turbine, wherein the transmission gear mechanism is a planetary gear device composed of a plurality of sun gears, ring gears and carriers, wherein each gear By properly controlling the rotation of the gears, the rotational force supplied from the turbine by the relative movement between the gears is converted into an appropriate transmission ratio and transmitted to the propulsion shaft.

In order to control each gear of the transmission gear mechanism, a plurality of clutch means is used. The clutch means generally uses a front clutch, a rear clutch, a low-reverse brake, an end clutch and a kick-down brake. Such a friction member is operated by the oil pressure generated by the oil pump operated in accordance with the rotation of the engine.

As an example of the clutch means is shown in Figure 1, a plurality of plates 104 and disks 106 are alternately disposed between the retainer 100 and the hub 102, which requires the control of power, the contact state And a piston 108 is provided in the retainer 100 to switch the contact state between the plate 104 and the disk 106, and the piston 108 is retainer 100 according to the present invention. A return spring 112 is provided to return when the hydraulic pressure is released in a state in which the plate 104 and the disk 106 are compressed by the hydraulic pressure supplied through the oil hole 110 of the).

Therefore, when power transmission between the retainer 100 and the hub 102 is required, hydraulic pressure is supplied to the rear of the piston 108 so that the piston 108 moves while compressing the return spring 112 to the plurality of parts. The plate 104 and the disk 106 of the plate to be in close contact with each other to transfer the power, when the power is cut off when the hydraulic pressure supplied to the piston 108 is released by the force of the return spring 112 As the 108 is retracted, the contact between the plate 104 and the disk 106 is relaxed and the power is cut off.

However, the clutch means configured and operated as described above, when the piston 108 is perturbed in the retainer 100 made of cast iron or aluminum, the hydraulic force and the action of the return spring 112 without any cushioning means remain intact. A phenomenon in which a large shock occurs at the application portion of the piston 108 and the contact portion of the plate 104 and the contact portion of the stopper portion and the retainer 100 of the piston 108, causing cracks or damage to the piston 108. There is a problem that occurs.

Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the problems as described above, in the operation of the piston of the clutch means of the automatic transmission to alleviate the impact with the adjacent parts, to improve the durability of the piston The purpose is to provide a durability improving structure of the automatic transmission piston.

Durable structure of the present invention automatic transmission piston for achieving the above object is characterized in that the shock absorbing means is installed on the end of the application portion and the stopper portion of the piston, respectively.

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In addition, the names and symbols of the same parts as used in the description of the prior art will be described using the same.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a structure of the durability of the automatic transmission piston according to the present invention in which a portion of the automatic transmission is cut away.

As shown in the figure, the shock absorbing means was installed at the end of the application portion and the stopper portion of the piston 108. In the present embodiment, the shock absorbing means is composed of friction materials (1, 3).

That is, the friction materials 1 and 3 are bonded to the end of the application portion and the stopper portion of the piston 108, respectively.

In this embodiment, other elastic bodies or the like may be used as the shock absorbing means, but the friction material in this embodiment may not only absorb shock but also prevent damage during contact by the rotational movement between the plate 104 and the retainer 100. It is for.

Referring to the operation of the present invention configured as described above are as follows.

When the piston 108 moves toward the plate 104 so that hydraulic pressure is applied to the retainer oil hole 110 to bring the plate 104 and the disk 106 into close contact with each other, the plate 104 finally comes into contact with the plate 104. At this moment, the friction material 1 absorbs the instantaneous impact force that is in close contact with the plate 104 by hydraulic pressure while bearing the rotational difference between the piston 108 and the plate 104 with the friction material. By doing so, the application portion of the piston 108 is prevented from being damaged.

Next, when the hydraulic pressure supplied to the oil hole 110 is released due to power interruption between the retainer 100 and the hub 102, the piston 108 retreats by the elastic force of the return spring 112. In this case, the friction material 3 adhered to the rear stopper portion of the piston 108 serves to absorb the impact therebetween when the piston 108 hits the retainer 100, thereby absorbing the piston ( 108 is to prevent the breakage.

Therefore, the durability of the piston 108 is greatly improved as compared with the conventional, it is possible to greatly improve the durability quality of the automatic transmission.

As described above, according to the present invention, when the piston of the clutch means of the automatic transmission operates, the impact with the adjacent parts can be alleviated, and the durability of the piston can be greatly improved.
