Abstract

PURPOSE: A circuit for removing inrush current of a microwave oven is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by attenuating the inrush current through a lamp instead of a resistor. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven is formed with a lamp(L), a drive motor(D/M), a fan motor(F/M), a power relay(P/R), a main relay(M/R), a high voltage transformer(HVT), and a magnetron(MGT). The power relay(P/R) is used for controlling an output of a microwave oven in a cooking process. The main relay(M/L) is connected according to an opening or a shutting state of a cooking room and a cooking start signal. The high voltage transformer(HVT) is used for forming a high voltage of 2100 Volt at the second side by transforming current received from the first side. The magnetron(MGT) oscillates electromagnetic waves of 2450MHz. An inrush current relay(I/R) is connected between an output terminal of the lamp(L) and the first side coil of the high voltage transformer(HVT). A lamp relay(L/R) is used for applying the current to the lamp(L).
