Abstract

PURPOSE: A timing belt cover is provided to prevent noise of the engine by filling among partitions with fluid and making vibration of the engine absorbed to the cover body. CONSTITUTION: A crankshaft gear(11) is formed at a side lower end of the engine(10) and a camshaft gear(12) is installed to the camshaft. The crankshaft gear and the camshaft are connected by a timing belt(13) and rotary power of the crankshaft is transmitted to the camshaft. A timing belt cover(20) covering to protect the timing belt is composed of a dual structure and the inner side(21) and the outer side(22) are connected by partitions(23). Fluid(24) is filled among the partitions and the fluid is an antifreezing solution. Therefore vibration of the engine is absorbed into the cover body and the noise of the engine is prevented.
