Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preventing epidemic diseases caused by microorganisms in domestic cattle which does not need to use a vaccine and can prevent collectively diseases regardless of specificity of pathogenic microorganisms and the individual cattle. Also, an apparatus used for the method is provided. CONSTITUTION: In the method, air is supplied into the apparatus, wherein the air is sterilized. The sterilized air is circulated into a cattle shed. The apparatus includes a hermetically sealed chamber to provide sterilized air. The hermetically sealed chamber has an air injection device, an air circulation device, an inner structure of the chamber and a sterilizing device. The air injection device is disposed at a height of 5 to 10m from the ground and is provided with a fan to supply air into the chamber. The air circulation system comprises a transparent tubing so that the air injected into the chamber can stay for a certain period of time. On the inner wall of the chamber, a plurality of UV lamps are provided to sterilize the air flowing within the transparent circulation tubing.
