Abstract

PURPOSE: Drain structure of a starter motor for a vehicle is provided to remove a separate assembling and disassembling process by combining a housing with a yoke assembly via an injected packing and draining water from a housing and a yoke assembly. CONSTITUTION: In the drain structure of a starter motor for a vehicle, a housing(10a) of a drive motor(10) is combined with a yoke assembly(30) via an injected packing(100). Water is drained by a drain groove(110) of the packing and a drain path(10e) and a connecting drain path(31) formed by the housing and the yoke assembly. The moisture in the housing and the yoke assembly is drained through the drain groove and the drain paths. The moisture is firstly blocked up by the upper portion of the connecting drain path and the drain groove of the packing. Thus, invasion of the housing and the yoke assembly with moisture is avoided. According to integral injection of the packing, a separate post-process is not needed and simply assembled by being fitted in the yoke assembly.
