PURPOSE: A vehicle air conditioning system is provided to smoothly perform cooling/heating operation and reduce installation space by integrating the heater core and evaporator core into a single unit. CONSTITUTION: In an air conditioning system including a heater core(1) for circulation of water coolant and an evaporator core(2) for cooling operation, the heater core and the evaporator cores are integrated into a single unit, and circulation tubes(3,4) for the heater core and the evaporator core are separated from each other. A water coolant control valve(6) is connected to an inlet side(5) of the heater core. In a heating mode, an air conditioner having the evaporator core is turned off, a heating circuit is driven, and the water coolant circulating through the radiator and engine of the motor vehicle circulates through the heater core, to thereby perform a heating operation for the motor vehicle. During heating operation, the control valve installed in the inlet side of the heater core is maintained at an open state. In a cooling mode, the control valve connected to the heater core is shut off, and the air conditioner having the evaporator core operates, to thereby perform a cooling operation.
