Abstract

PURPOSE: An electronic idle speed control actuator is provided to stabilize a system by sensing mechanical action via a non-contact angle sensor. CONSTITUTION: An idle speed actuator(140) comprises a valve assembly(80) and a solenoid assembly(50) controlling a valve(88) of the valve assembly. A permanent magnet(120) is mounted on a shaft(82) of the valve assembly, and recessed portions are formed in both sides of a stator(64) of the solenoid assembly. An angle sensor(150) non-contact to the shaft is embedded. The non-contact angle sensor senses the rotational angle of the actuator and transmits the angle value to an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(130) for accurate control and decision of defect. The non-contact angle sensor senses the change of the magnetic field due to the rotation of the permanent magnet. Thus, the action of the valve is sensed. The ECU compensates an action signal of the idle speed control actuator by receiving the output from the non-contact angle sensor. Therefore, mechanical defect is decided and informed a user.
