Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing desired color of patterned wood or lumber by chemical processing the wood is provided to produce high quality lumber or patterned wood from low priced raw lumber. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) dissolving a fixed amount of metallic oxide or alkali material in water; (ii) boiling the solution with a hot water and heat supply device and maintaining the temperature of the solution at 60-90deg.C; (iii) chemically discoloring the lumber by soaking raw lumber or lumber in the boiled solution for a fixed time according to desired color.
