Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a carcass (tire cord layer) fly among semi-finished products, and particularly to a truck / bus that is durable and lightweight to withstand high loads by using a high strength steel cord applied to a tire of a truck or a bus. Relates to the carcass ply of a dragon tire.
In general, pneumatic tires are generally divided into truck / bus, small truck, large heavy equipment, and passenger car depending on the intended use. Dual truck / bus tires are used to determine the weight of the truck or bus itself or the weight of the package. In consideration of high loads and excessive stress, it must have a material and structure, and conventional truck / bus tires consist of one or more carcass plies and three or more belt plies, which support the load of the tires. In this case, in order to increase the durability of the tire, a rubber cord is usually embedded in the rubber layer.
Steel cords used in tires have conventionally been normal tensile cords having a carbon content of about 0.67 to 0.73%. The structure is also three-layered or two-layered.
However, tires under such materials and structures have a low cord strength and have a problem of fatigue resistance deterioration due to a difference in carbon content, and wear and tear of cords due to cord layer wear due to two and three layered structures. There is a problem that the dynamic fatigue resistance is reduced.
In addition, since most of the code structure used as a carcass ply includes a WARP code, the repetitive fatigue characteristics are weak, and there is a problem of high weight.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and is durable and robust even under high loads, and has excellent dynamic fatigue characteristics, as well as weight and truck / bus using a high strength steel cord, which is reduced compared to conventional carcass plies. An object is to provide a carcass ply of a dragon tire.
1 is a schematic diagram showing the structure of a carcass ply of a truck / bus tire according to the present invention.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is a carcass ply of a truck / bus tire, the carcass ply is composed of a steel cord made by twisting all 12 filaments having a diameter of 0.22mm in the S direction The material of the steel cord is characterized in that the carbon content of 0.80 ~ 0.85%.
Hereinafter, a carcass ply of a truck / bus tire according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. 1 is a view showing the structure of a carcass ply of a truck / bus tire according to the present invention.
As shown in the drawing, in the present invention, the steel cord material of the carcass ply of the truck / bus tire is adopted to increase the strength by adopting a high strength high tensile cord instead of the conventional normal tensile cord, By minimizing the wear between the layers of the cord, the dynamic fatigue characteristics were improved and the durability was improved.
In other words, the structure of the steel cord of the carcass ply according to the present invention is a structure in which each of the filaments of 12 strands are all braided in the S direction, one strand is used (12X0.22) having a diameter of 0.22mm, the material Silver is high tensile (high strength) with a carbon content of 0.80 to 0.85%.
In addition, when the steel cord according to the present invention is used, the EPI coefficient (End Per Inch: number of cord yarns per inch) may be small due to the increase in the overall strength resulting from a high strength material, so that the steel cord is adjusted to 14 to 17 EPI coefficients. The arrangement reduced the total weight of the tire by about 8%.
Table 1 below describes the characteristics of the code employed in the present invention in comparison with the code according to the prior art.

The present invention relates to the carbon content of the carcass ply of truck-bus tires by changing the normal tensile, which is a conventional steel cord material, to a high tensile cord and increasing the strength and changing the metal structure according to the cord material change. The fatigue resistance has been improved, and by adopting the 12X0.22 structure, it has been changed from the two-layer or three-layer lead structure to the single-layer lead structure to minimize the wear between the cord layers, thereby improving durability.
In addition, by increasing the cord strength, the EPI coefficient was reduced, and the cord diameter and the rolling thickness were reduced to reduce the tire weight by about 8%.
