Abstract

PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to achieve an improved user convenience by allowing a person to watch television or talk over telephone. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator(1) comprises a flat panel display(5) and a telephone(6) arranged as a single unit at a front surface of the refrigerator. The flat panel display allows a person to watch television through the flat panel display, and displays information about the food stuff contained in the refrigerator. The flat panel display and the telephone unit is installed at a recess(4) formed at a front surface of either an upper door(2) or a lower door(3) of the refrigerator.
