1 is a block diagram of an insulin management system including a user terminal, a controller and a drug injection device.
The
The
Also, the
The
The
The
The
In this case, the
Meanwhile, the

3A to 3B are exemplary diagrams for explaining a setting method of a drug injection amount calculator according to an exemplary embodiment.
A drug injection amount calculator may be installed in the
As described above, apart from the basal insulin injection, insulin injected when food intake or high blood sugar needs to be lowered may be referred to as a bolus. The drug infusion calculator may be referred to as a bolus calculator, and the bolus calculator may calculate a bolus infusion volume.
(Insulin On Board(IOB), Bolus on Board(BOB) The amount of bolus infusion can be determined by various values. For example, the bolus infusion volume is the current blood glucose level, the carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio, the correction factor, the target blood glucose level, and the amount of insulin remaining with activation time in the body during the previous bolus infusion volume (Insulin On Board (IOB), Bolus on Board ( It can be determined by BOB) or Active Insulin), correction threshold, amount of activity, type and amount of food consumed, etc.
The correction factor is a value representing the blood glucose level that 1 unit of bolus insulin can lower. The range of the calibration coefficient is 1 to 400 mg/dl/U, and can be adjusted by 1 mg/dl/U. The calibration threshold may refer to the highest blood glucose level at which it is determined that insulin injection is required to control blood sugar.
The bolus calculator may calculate a bolus injection amount based on a user's individual bolus profile setting value, current blood glucose measurement value, ingested carbohydrate amount, and body insulin level (IOB).
Specifically, the set value of the bolus profile may be determined by a target blood glucose level, a carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio, a correction coefficient, and an insulin duration. The current blood glucose value means a blood glucose value measured within 10 minutes.
Referring to FIG. 3A , a user may input a current blood
Referring to FIG. 3B , the user may input a current blood
On the other hand, the user needs to calculate the optimal insulin injection amount required to lower the blood sugar that rises due to the food to be eaten, and to control the blood sugar that rapidly increases after eating. In order to calculate the optimal insulin injection amount, users need to accurately calculate the amount of carbohydrates included in the food they eat. In addition, there is a need to calculate an optimal insulin injection time point in order to appropriately control blood sugar that increases after a meal.
However, even for the same type of food, it may be difficult to calculate the exact amount of carbohydrates due to various reasons such as the characteristics of restaurants selling the food. In addition, it can be seen that carbohydrates contained in food have a great effect on the rapid increase in blood pressure due to food intake, but the effect of protein or fat contained in food cannot be ignored. In addition, in order to calculate the optimal insulin injection amount, it is necessary to consider the fact that carbohydrates, proteins, and fats raise the user's blood sugar at different times.
Therefore, considering the above aspects, the insulin injection amount or insulin injection time point calculated by the user roughly inputting the amount of carbohydrates according to the type of food may not be accurate. For example, hypoglycemic shock may occur if more insulin than required is injected. Alternatively, it may be difficult to control blood sugar, which increases over time after eating food due to protein or fat.
Accordingly, there is a need for a method capable of calculating an optimal insulin injection amount or insulin injection timing by receiving information on food consumed by a user.
4 is an exemplary diagram for calculating an insulin injection amount based on food information according to an exemplary embodiment.
According to an embodiment, the drug injection amount calculator included in the
Referring to FIG. 4 , the drug injection amount calculator may receive the current blood glucose measurement value of the first user from the biometric value measuring device. For example, the drug injection amount calculator may receive 220 mg/dl as the current blood glucose measurement value 410 . Meanwhile, in the drug injection amount calculator, the first user may directly input the blood glucose measurement value through the interface of the
In addition, the drug injection amount calculator may receive information about food to be consumed from the first user. For example, the first user may input information on food to be consumed through an interface of the
According to an embodiment, the information about food may include at least one of a type of food consumed by the first user, information about a restaurant selling food, and information about when the first user consumes food. Alternatively, the information on food may include a picture of food eaten by the first user. Referring to FIG. 4 , the drug injection amount calculator includes the type of food consumed by the
According to one embodiment, the drug injection amount calculator may determine whether a specific food is the same as food that the first user consumed in the past, based on the received food information. For example, when it is determined that the food consumed by the first user is the same as the food consumed by the first user in the past, the drug injection amount calculator calculates the amount of food injected into the first user after the first user consumed the food in the past. The insulin injection amount may be calculated based on at least one of an insulin injection amount and information on a blood glucose measurement value change of the first user after the first user ingested the food in the past.
That is, the drug injection amount calculator can specifically specify the food to be consumed by the first user from the type of food to be consumed by the first user, information on restaurants selling the food, and photos of the food. When it is determined that the specified food is the same as the food that the first user consumed in the past, the drug injection amount calculator provides information on when the food was consumed, and injection into the first user after the first user consumed the food in the past. The optimal insulin injection amount may be calculated by referring to at least one of the measured insulin injection amount and information on the first user's blood glucose measurement value change after the first user has consumed the corresponding food in the past.
Meanwhile, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate an appropriate insulin injection time point based on the first user's measured blood glucose value and food information. For example, the drug injection amount calculator determines that the food specified from the food information is the same as the food that the first user consumed in the past, information about the time when the food was consumed, and the food that the first user consumed in the past An appropriate insulin injection time point may be calculated by referring to at least one of an amount of insulin injected into the first user after eating and information on a change in blood glucose measurement value of the first user after the first user has eaten the corresponding food in the past. Alternatively, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate a plurality of appropriate insulin injection time points so that the calculated insulin injection amount may be divided and injected at each of a plurality of insulin injection time points, rather than injecting the calculated insulin injection amount at once before eating food. On the other hand, even if the food consumed by the first user is not the same as the food consumed by the first user in the past and corresponds to the food consumed for the first time, the optimal insulin injection amount is determined by utilizing information related to a second user other than the first user. can also be calculated.
5 is an exemplary diagram for calculating an insulin injection amount based on food information and information about a second user, according to an exemplary embodiment.
According to an embodiment, the drug injection amount calculator determines that the food consumed by the first user is not the same as the food consumed by the first user in the past, after the second user has consumed the food in the past, the second user The insulin injection amount may be calculated based on at least one of the insulin injection amount injected into the user, the second user's blood glucose measurement value change information after the second user has consumed the corresponding food in the past, and the carbohydrate to insulin ratio set for each user.

That is, the drug injection amount calculator specifically specifies the food to be consumed by the user from the type of food consumed by the first user, information on restaurants selling the food, photos of the food, etc. If it is determined that the food is not the same as the food eaten, information about the time of eating the food, the amount of insulin injected into the second user after the second user consumed the food in the past, and the food the second user had in the past After ingesting the second user, an optimal insulin injection amount may be calculated with reference to information about the second user's measured blood glucose value change and a carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio set for each user. The carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio set for each user may include a carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio of the first user and a carbohydrate-to-insulin ratio of the second user.
For example, referring to FIG. 5 , the
Meanwhile, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate an appropriate insulin injection time point based on the first user's blood glucose measurement value, food information, and second user information. For example, the drug injection amount calculator determines from the food information that the specified food is not the same as the food that the first user consumed in the past, information about the time when the food was consumed, and the second user corresponding to the past Insulin injection amount injected into the second user after ingesting the food, the change information of the second user's blood glucose measurement value after the second user has consumed the corresponding food in the past, and the carbohydrate to insulin ratio set for each user are referred to as appropriate Insulin injection timing can be calculated. Alternatively, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate a plurality of appropriate insulin injection time points so that the calculated insulin injection amount may be divided and injected at each of a plurality of insulin injection time points, rather than injecting the calculated insulin injection amount at once before eating food.
Meanwhile, the blood glucose measurement value obtained from the blood glucose measurement device may have an error range depending on the error of the blood glucose measurement device itself or the user's physical characteristics. Therefore, there is a need to calculate a more accurate insulin injection amount in consideration of the error range.
6 is an exemplary diagram for calculating an insulin injection amount based on an error range according to an exemplary embodiment.
According to an embodiment, the drug injection amount calculator calculates an error range based on a difference between the blood glucose measurement value received from the biometric value measuring device and the blood glucose measurement value measured by a blood glucose monitoring (BGM) method. can Also, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate the insulin injection amount based on the error range.
이 때, 생체값 측정 장치는 CGM(Continuous Glucose Monitoring, 연속 혈당 측정) 방식으로 사용자의 혈당을 측정하는 장치에 해당할 수 있다. For example, referring to FIG. 6 , the drug injection amount calculator may receive the first user's current blood glucose measurement value from the biometric value measuring device. For example, the drug infusion calculator may receive 220 mg/dl as the current blood glucose measurement value. In this case, the biometric value measuring device may correspond to a device for measuring a user's blood sugar in a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) method. The continuous blood glucose measurement method is a method in which a sensor is attached to the subcutaneous fat of the abdomen and the glucose in the cell interstitial fluid is measured through the sensor.
Also, the drug injection amount calculator may receive a blood glucose measurement value measured by a BGM method from the first user. For example, a first user may directly input a blood glucose measurement value measured by the BGM method through an interface of the
The drug injection amount calculator is based on the difference between the blood glucose measurement value received from the biometric value measurement device that measures blood sugar in the continuous blood glucose measurement method and the blood glucose measurement value measured in the BGM (Blood Glucose Monitoring, self-monitoring) method. An error range of the blood glucose measurement value received from the measurement device may be calculated. The drug injection amount calculator may calculate the insulin injection amount based on the error range. That is, the insulin injection amount calculated as described above in FIGS. 3(a) to 5 may be corrected in consideration of the error range.
Similarly, the drug injection amount calculator may calculate the insulin injection time point based on the error range, and the insulin injection time point calculated as described above with reference to FIGS. 3(a) to 5 may be corrected in consideration of the error range.
Referring to FIG. 6 , the drug injection amount calculator may receive information indicating that the current measured blood glucose value of the first user corresponds to 220 mg/dL from the biometric value measurement device that measures blood sugar using the continuous blood glucose measurement method.
