Description
The present invention relates to a sensor and a method for manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to a sensor including a sensor layer of metal oxide and a method for manufacturing the same.
Metal oxide nanoparticles used as a semiconductor type gas sensor material are mainly in powder form and an organic binder such as α-terpineol with high viscosity is added to fix them on the device electrode. However, in order for the nanoparticles to maintain gas reactivity, the used binder must be removed, and for this purpose, high-temperature heat is applied to remove the binder. However, at this time, not only contamination of the nanoparticles may occur due to remaining components, but also a phenomenon in which unexpected characteristics may occur by affecting the space between the sensor material and the space between the sensing material and the device. Therefore, it is required to develop a sensing material with improved characteristics of a gas sensor while stably immobilizing powdered nanoparticles on the surface of the device without any additives.
