Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fairlead cover for ships and a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly, to a fairlead cover minimizing frictional force with a rope and a manufacturing method thereof.
In general, when loading and unloading, irregular or periodic ship repair, and anchoring of cargo in operation, the ship is fixed by connecting with a rope to fix the ship. The rope connects between the ship and the anchorage and is subjected to a lot of load. At this time, it is a mooring fairlead, also known as a fairlead, that plays the role of fixing and guiding the rope in the ship. The chock is made of cast steel with a higher elongation rate than cast iron and greater tensile strength. It is located on deck or inside the vessel.
On the other hand, since the rope in contact with the choke uses nylon material, depending on the strength of the wind or waves at the ship's anchorage, the rope, which is relatively weaker than the choke, is pressed or abraded. This can cause damage to people and equipment nearby.
To prevent this, a method of attaching a protective cover to the rope was raised, but the effectiveness was questioned. , it is proposed to minimize abrasion and friction by making the material of the protective cover similar, but when the radius of curvature of the choke is made large, the size is limited due to the special characteristics of ships and offshore structures.
In the prior art, a technology for preventing direct friction by mounting a plastic-based chock liner is used, but it is heavy and divided into two parts, making it difficult to fasten and having a work hazard during installation. In addition, it is expensive, has a large and intractable problem, and has the disadvantage of having to replace the whole for replacement when damage occurs to the chalk liner.
Accordingly, there is a need to develop a fairlead cover that is easy to handle and inexpensive, while minimizing damage and abrasion of the rope and reducing the risk of injury during replacement.
The present invention aims to solve the foregoing and other problems. Another object is to provide a fairlead cover that minimizes frictional force with the rope.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In one embodiment of the present invention, in selecting fibers that occupy the largest part of the volume of the composite material and thus transmit the largest load, specific gravity, tensile strength and tensile strength, compressive strength and compressive strength, fatigue strength and fatigue failure mechanism , electrical and thermal conductivity and price were considered, and appropriate glass fiber, carbon fiber and aramid fiber were used.
Glass fiber is a material that has been widely used in the marine field since the 1940s, and has properties that are inexpensive, have high tensile strength, high chemical resistance, and excellent insulation properties. In addition, the static strength increases as the content increases, but the tensile strength often decreases due to sensitivity to wear, and wear occurs on molding dies and cutting tools due to relatively low fatigue resistance and high hardness.
Carbon fiber is a fiber composed of more than 90% of carbon atoms, and is a material that combines the carbon material structure of the constituent elements, the structural characteristics and the morphological characteristics of the fiber. is 10 to 20 times higher than nylon, has excellent properties such as heat resistance, chemical stability, and dimensional stability due to low thermal expansion, and has excellent adsorption characteristics depending on the activation conditions.
Aramid fiber is a material that is lighter and stronger than steel, and is widely used as a reinforcing material for polymer composite materials due to its low specific gravity, high elastic modulus, excellent thermal stability, fire resistance and low electrical conductivity. In addition, it has the advantage of excellent specific strength and resistance to abrasion, and is largely divided into meta aramid and para aramid. In one embodiment of the present invention, it has high strength and stiffness, maintains mechanical properties even at high temperatures, A fiber-reinforced composite material was prepared using para-aramid fibers with low
The resin, which serves as the base material of the fiber-reinforced composite material, transmits the stress between the fibers and protects the fibers from adverse environments and at the same time protects the fibers from abrasion. The parent material does not play an important role in transmitting the tensile force of the composite structure, but plays a very important role in the in-plane shear properties or interlayer shear properties. Shear strength should be considered as an important factor when designing a structure subject to stress.
In particular, the base material suppresses the buckling of fibers to a certain extent when compressive stress is generated, while contributing to improving the compressive strength of the composite material. The interaction between fiber and parent material is an important factor in designing damage-tolerant structures, and processability and internal defects of composite materials are closely related to the viscosity of the parent material, melting temperature, and curing temperature.
In selecting the base material, phenol, high density polyethylene (HDPE), epoxy, and the like can be used. In one embodiment of the present invention, epoxy having an epoxide structure was used as a base material for a fiber-reinforced composite material, and although it has the disadvantage of being expensive in terms of price, adhesion to fibers, chemical shrinkage, heat and chemical properties, creep and fatigue and It has many of the same advantages.
Epoxy resins are rarely used alone and are used after being cured into a thermosetting material in combination with a curing agent, and their performance largely depends on the selection of the curing agent. Therefore, in one embodiment of the present invention, a curing agent was used to lower the solubility and cure.
Bisphenol type, novolak type, aromatic amine type, alicyclic type, etc. may be used as the latent curing agent, and dicyan-diamide, a latent curing agent, is added to the epoxy resin to improve work efficiency. Mix it so that it becomes 20~80% in equivalent ratio, and maintain high viscosity after hardening the base material.
The base material is impregnated with one or more of the glass fiber, carbon fiber, and aramid fiber to prepare a prepreg in the form of a sheet. In this case, the base material is prepared by mixing one or more of glass fiber, carbon fiber, and aramid fiber. can do. That is, each of glass fiber, carbon fiber, or aramid fiber may be used as a base material, and prepreg may be manufactured by mixing two or three of these.
The prepreg may be used by hand lay-up method, compression molding, vacuum bag molding, etc., and in one embodiment of the present invention, the prepreg was manufactured using vacuum bag molding.
In addition, when preparing the prepreg, carbon nanotubes or graphite may be used as additives.
Carbon nanotubes have a perfect crystal structure that maximizes the bonding force between carbons, so they have high rigidity and high strength even with a small specific gravity, and by adding carbon nanotubes to resins, the impregnation of thermal or electrically conductive resins can be adjusted. . When the amount of carbon nanotubes is increased, the wear characteristics are improved. With the addition of carbon nanotubes, the load is transferred well through the surface of the carbon nanotubes, resulting in reduced wear compared to pure epoxy without carbon nanotube reinforcing materials. can lose
That is, the functional group introduced to the surface of the carbon nanotube increases the binding force with the polymer resin and facilitates dispersion in the polymer, and a softer and narrower wear surface is found compared to pure epoxy, which has many deep flaws. Nearby carbon nanotubes form a thin carbon film to act as a lubricating film that reduces frictional force, resulting in reduced friction with the rope.
In one embodiment of the present invention, when mixing the additive, 0.1 to 5% by weight of the total weight is added. If the additive is mixed at less than 0.1% by weight, a pull-out phenomenon may occur and may not be well combined with the epoxy matrix, and 5% by weight If it exceeds, it may be dispersed and the aggregation may not be performed well.
The prepregs containing the above additives are laminated as follows.
The lamination of the composite material is composed of a single fiber-resin composite and a mixed fiber-resin composite, and in the case of a single fiber-resin composite, in one embodiment of the present invention, glass fibers, carbon fibers and aramid fibers are laminated by the lamination method shown in FIG. layer up That is, FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view of a single fiber-resin composite according to an embodiment of the present invention. When the prepreg includes only one fiber, the prepreg is laminated in order of gradually decreasing thickness from the lower layer to the upper layer.
More specifically, in order to make the coefficient of thermal expansion uniform when stacking a plurality of prepregs, a thick
The thin
The prepreg sheet has different strength, stiffness, and various properties depending on the lamination angle, the number of repetitions of lamination, and the total number of prepregs. When, the prepregs of each orientation angle were laminated with the direction perpendicular to 0 ° as 90 °, and 45 ° clockwise and 45 ° counterclockwise from 0 ° (hereinafter -45 °) After stacking the prepregs at different orientation angles of , in the case of thin prepregs, one sheet of 0° prepreg, one sheet of -45° prepreg, one sheet of 45° prepreg, and one sheet of 90° prepreg from bottom to top It was repeatedly laminated twice in the order of the chapters so that the top always had an orientation angle of 90°.
In the case of the
In addition, the
Next, a mixed fiber resin composite material in which two or more types of fiber resin prepregs are laminated is shown in FIG. 9 . 9 is a cross-sectional view of a composite fiber-resin composite according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 9, when the prepreg includes two or more fibers,
The stacking order of the mixed fiber-resin composite may be stacked in the same orientation angle order as the single-fiber-resin composite, and it is preferable to laminate carbon and aramid fiber prepregs on the outermost uppermost and lowermost layers. When molding alone, the thinner the thickness, the more twisted the product after molding, and the glass-type fiber can abrade the rope due to the resin, which can be softened when absorbing moisture. Carbon and aramid fibers that are resistant to UV abrasion By laminating the prepreg on the outermost layer, it is possible to suppress twisting and minimize interfacial lamination and peeling between the prepregs of different materials.
Next, the laminated single fiber resin composite material and mixed fiber resin composite material are molded using an oven and an autoclave.
After laminating the single fiber-resin composite material and the mixed fiber-resin composite material, removing the volatile resin component inside the composite material while maintaining a gas pressure outside the vacuum bag and a vacuum state inside the vacuum bag by a pump. Then, molding is performed by heating at 100 to 180 ° C while maintaining a vacuum state in an oven or autoclave. However, in the case of an autoclave, a product with a more dense structure can be made because a pressure of 3 to 7 bar is applied during molding.
Under the molding conditions, the oven is preferably 120 to 130 ° C, the autoclave temperature is 4 to 5 bar, and 120 to 130 ° C. Under these conditions, the composite material can minimize internal pores and withstand high rope loads, and the surface can be smoothed to minimize friction.
