Description
The present invention relates to a high purification treatment apparatus capable of high purification treatment of graphite including a muffle structure and an operation method thereof.
The contents described in this part merely provide background information on the present embodiment and do not constitute prior art.
Ordinary graphite mined in nature exhibits a purity of 70 to 80% under optimal conditions, but graphite having a carbon content of 95% to 97% can be obtained by beneficiation of graphite in its natural state.
However, due to industrial development, more and more highly purified refined graphite is required in the case of a friction material, an electrode, a battery, a fuel cell, or graphene. In particular, since it has recently been widely used as an anode material for lithium ion batteries due to explosive industrial demand, even refined graphite having a carbon content of 99% or more is required.
Since the purity of graphite that has undergone conventional mining and beneficiation processes is relatively low, it is necessary to further increase the carbon content by refining it in order to obtain high-purity graphite.
Conventionally, hydrofluoric acid was used to purify graphite. Graphite concentrate mainly contains components such as iron sulfide and quartz in addition to carbon components. When the graphite concentrate is put into hydrofluoric acid, impurities are melted into a liquid phase, and the carbon component remains in a solid state. After dissolving the quartz component in hydrofluoric acid, the purity of graphite is increased through solid-liquid separation. However, as hydrofluoric acid is defined as an environmentally hazardous substance, it is difficult to actively use it in industry.
In addition, conventionally, a purification method through high-temperature roasting was used while the use of hydrofluoric acid was suppressed. In this method, first, a pretreatment of adding and stirring graphite concentrate to a sulfuric acid solution is performed. Sulfuric acid ions (SO 4 2- ) penetrate into the layered graphite and act to exfoliate the layers. That is, impurities (quartz) are exposed to the outside through delamination. As another method of delamination of graphite, pretreatment heating is performed at about 1000 ° C.
After delamination, graphite was purified by adding the graphite concentrate to a sodium hydroxide solution and roasting at a high temperature of 900 ° C or higher.
However, the above method has problems in that the pretreatment process using sulfuric acid is complicated and uneconomical.

Referring to FIG. 1, a high

The
The cooling gas is a gas injected into a chamber to be described later to promote cooling of the
The purge gas is a gas that is injected into the
The gas for adjusting the pressure is a gas that is injected into a muffle to be described later after the high purification reaction in the
The

2 is a perspective view of a thermal reaction tank according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a view showing a state in which a chamber door in a thermal reaction tank is opened according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 , a
The
The
4 and 5 are front and side cross-sectional views of a chamber according to an embodiment of the present invention.
4 and 5, the
The
The fixing
The
Meanwhile, the
The
The
The
The
The
The
The
The
The door opening and closing

6(a) is a view showing a state in which only the
6(b) is a view showing a state in which the
6(c) is a view showing a state in which all the

The
The
(S940).The
The
The
