Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell humidifier and a fuel cell system including the same.
The fuel cell, which is the main power supply source of the fuel cell system, is a device that generates electricity while generating water by receiving oxygen and hydrogen, which is the fuel. It is supplied to the anode of the stack'), and the outside air in the atmosphere is directly supplied to the cathode of the stack by an air supply device such as an air compressor.
Accordingly, hydrogen supplied to the fuel electrode is separated into hydrogen ions and electrons by a catalyst of the fuel electrode, and the hydrogen ions pass to the cathode through the polymer electrolyte membrane. Oxygen supplied to the cathode is combined with electrons entering the cathode through an external wire to generate water and electrical energy.
However, as the polymer electrolyte membrane is sufficiently wetted with water, its ion conductivity increases and thus loss due to resistance decreases. However, if the supply of a reactive gas having a low relative humidity continues, the polymer electrolyte membrane eventually dries out and becomes unusable. Therefore, since humidification of supply gas is essential in such a fuel cell system, a conventional fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell humidifier capable of exchanging moisture between the wet air discharged from the fuel cell stack and the outside air to be supplied to the fuel cell stack using a hollow fiber membrane. .
Outside air compressed by an air compressor is supplied to the fuel cell humidifier. As the output of the fuel cell stack increases, the air compressor compresses the outside air to a high temperature and high pressure and supplies the air to the fuel cell humidifier. However, when outside air having a high temperature of an appropriate level or higher is supplied to the fuel cell humidifier and the fuel cell stack, the humidification efficiency of the outside air is lowered, and the performance and durability of the fuel cell stack are adversely affected.
In order to solve this problem, a conventional fuel cell humidifier has an air cooler capable of cooling outdoor air passing through an air compressor using cooling water of a fuel cell stack and supplying the fuel cell humidifier. However, the temperature of the cooling water is determined by other components such as a driving motor and an MCU using the cooling water. Therefore, the conventional air cooler has a problem in that it cannot actively control the temperature of the outside air supplied to the fuel cell humidifier and is a passive method in which the cooling performance of the outside air is determined by the temperature of the cooling water.
The present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and a fuel cell humidifier having an improved structure to supply outside air having an appropriate level of temperature to the fuel cell humidifier and fuel cell stack, and a fuel cell system including the same Its purpose is to provide

Next, the
Each of the
As shown in FIG. 2, the sealing
As shown in FIG. 2, the first sealing
According to this
However, when moisture is exchanged between the wet air A2 and the outside air A1, the wet air A2 is cooled and some of the remaining moisture contained in the wet air A2 is condensed, resulting in condensed water C. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the wet air A2 is sequentially discharged to the outside through the
FIG. 3 is a plan view of the fuel cell humidifier shown in FIG. 2 , and FIG. 4 is a front view of the cooling module shown in FIG. 3 .
Next, the
The
The
For example, the
For example, when the
For example, the
For example, the
For example, when the external temperature is lower than a predetermined reference temperature, the
Meanwhile, the
The
The
The installed number of
The
The number of installed
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 , the
Meanwhile, reference numeral '16', which has not been described, refers to a polymer electrolyte membrane interposed between the
