Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a free-form mold for precision casting that can be freely changed in shape and used multiple times, and a casting method using the free-form mold.
In general, in order to cast and manufacture a part of a certain shape using a metal material, it is manufactured by pouring melted liquid molten metal into a mold called a “mold” to form a shape and harden it. Here, when the material of the shape is a ceramic material such as sand, it is sand casting, and when casting by pouring the material into a metal mold, it is classified as mold casting.
In the case of the sand mold, it is mainly used when the shape is large and there is no major problem with the product even if there is a slight shape error. In most cases, it cannot be recycled because it is removed from the process, and it has a problem that a large amount of waste by-products are generated. In addition, although the cost of the mold is relatively low compared to that of the metal mold, an error of about 0.1 to 1.0 mm may occur because the shape of the mold is not exactly the same.
On the other hand, in the case of a mold mold, there is an advantage that almost no shape error occurs, so that parts manufactured in the same mold can produce parts of almost the same size. However, the mold material required for manufacturing metal molds must have excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance. In particular, in the case of manufacturing high-melting metal alloys such as Fe-based, special steels containing expensive alloy elements such as W, Co, Ni, etc. Since it is necessary to use, in most cases, a very high cost is required for the manufacture of a metal mold. Therefore, in order to reduce costs, it is common to manufacture and apply a mold mold only when tens to hundreds of thousands of identical products are manufactured.
In addition, once the mold is manufactured, it is difficult to modify the mold, and even a slight modification often incurs high costs. In the case of a mold mold, it is advantageous for a process of mass-manufacturing the same shape, but it is almost impossible to manufacture parts having various shapes due to high mold cost. In the case of a specific part, there are cases where the shape is slightly different even though high precision is required. In this case, it is difficult to apply existing molds such as sand molds and die molds.
In addition, the recently popular metal 3D printer manufacturing technology has the disadvantage that it takes a long time and is expensive.

In addition, one end of the
The first direction means an axial direction of the forming
Therefore, the

Accordingly, the fixing
In the case of a conventional mold mold, it is difficult to modify the mold shape once it has been produced, and it is difficult to manufacture products having various shapes due to high costs for modifying the mold shape. In the case of parts and the like that require, it is difficult to implement with a conventional mold.
Meanwhile, the free-

As shown in FIG. 3 , in the forming
At this time, the

The first direction may vary depending on the arrangement of the

Therefore, according to another embodiment of the present invention, unlike the conventional mold, it is possible to rapidly implement a mold capable of casting a product having a 3D three-dimensional shape on one side of which is not flat, which is compared to conventional 3D printer manufacturing technology.
