Description
The present invention relates to a passive cooling facility for a nuclear reactor and a passive cooling method thereof, and to a passive cooling facility for a nuclear reactor capable of cooling residual heat generated in a nuclear reactor when the nuclear reactor is stopped, and a passive cooling method thereof.
After the Fukushima accident, research on design optimization for passive cooling of nuclear power facilities has been actively conducted. The passive cooling facility is a facility for removing residual heat remaining in the core while the operation of the nuclear reactor is stopped in the event of an accident or the like in the nuclear reactor. This passive cooling facility is designed to be operated for about 3 days without using power when removing residual heat from the core.
It is a recent global trend for users to intervene in a nuclear reactor about 3 days after an accident occurs in the reactor. Therefore, the passive cooling equipment must be able to remove the residual heat of the core for more than 3 days.
When an accident occurs in a nuclear reactor, two methods can be considered in the prior art as a method for passively removing residual heat of a core in a state in which power inside and outside the power plant is lost.
First, a passive heat exchanger is installed inside the reactor, and the passive heat exchanger is connected to an external passive cooling system to remove residual heat transferred from the core to the reactor coolant. This method is not used because there is a risk that the coolant and radioactive material may leak to the outside in the event that the heat exchanger is damaged or the piping is judged.
Second, the coolant heated by residual heat flows into the tube side of the steam generator and heat exchanges with the water on the shell side. have. In this method, there is a problem in that the target amount of heat to be removed is excessive and the system may be enlarged, and if a failure occurs in the steam generator or the passive cooler, there is a problem in that there is no other method to remove the residual heat.
Embodiments of the present invention were invented in the background as described above, and to provide a passive cooling facility and a passive cooling method of a nuclear reactor capable of removing residual heat of a nuclear reactor in a situation where power cannot be used inside due to an accident in the nuclear reactor. do.
According to one aspect of the present invention, a reactor for generating heat; and a containment chamber arranged to surround the reactor in order to remove heat generated in the reactor, wherein the containment chamber includes: a receiving part arranged to surround the reactor; an upper cooling tank disposed in the upper portion of the accommodating part, the upper end of which is open, and water accommodated therein; and a spray for spraying the water contained in the upper cooling tank to the reactor in order to passively remove the heat generated in the reactor, some of the water injected into the reactor is evaporated and recovered to the upper cooling tank, A passive cooling facility may be provided.
On the other hand, according to an aspect of the present invention, the step of spraying water by a spray to the receiving portion of the containment room arranged to surround the reactor in order to remove the residual heat generated in the reactor; generating steam by evaporating some of the water injected into the receiving unit by residual heat of the reactor; and recovering the vapor generated by the evaporation to an upper cooling tank disposed on the upper part of the receiver to be sprayed by the spray, wherein the spray is water in the receiver when the reactor is emergency stopped. A passive cooling method may be provided for spraying.
According to embodiments of the present invention, it can be used with a method using a steam generator and a passive cooling system, and also can independently remove residual heat generated in the nuclear reactor.
Even if there is a problem that the residual heat of the nuclear reactor cannot be removed through the steam generator and the passive cooling system, there is an effect that can prevent the residual heat removal efficiency from being lowered.

It does not exclude the existence or addition of
When the
The
Therefore, as described above, even if the
The
The
However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the
In this case, the upper end of the
As described above, as the
The
In this embodiment, the interior of the
Here, the
At this time, a driven valve (not shown) may be installed in the
That is, when the driven valve is opened, the water accommodated in the
As water is sprayed from the
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3 , water may be filled in the receiving
And a portion of the water filling the
The first
The first
That is, the first
In this case, the first
In this embodiment, although it is described that the first
As shown in FIG. 2 , the first
Accordingly, the efficiency of condensing the steam may increase toward the lower portion of the first
As described above, water from the
