Description
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a lens, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing a lens having a colored layer and a lens manufactured by the method.
A technique for correcting color (color) discrimination currently available is to provide individually tinted lenses, i.e. sunglasses, for the patient's eye. Corrective lenses of different colors, which aim to provide correction to the observer, are not aesthetically pleasing from a cosmetic point of view.
In order to further improve this appearance problem, in U.S. Patent No. 6,089,712, the central part of the lens is colored so that the necessary color correction for each eye can be performed, and the outer surface of the lens is coated with a specular reflective material from the outside. A lens of a type that is adapted to render colored colors invisible when viewed is disclosed. This technique, described in the above US patent, provides the necessary color correction.
However, since the lens has a specular surface, it is cosmetically undesirable or somewhat impractical. Since the mirror surface reflects light at a very high rate, these glasses give the wearer an image that is too dark. In certain situations, for example, in an office or in a space where there is not enough light, wearing reflective glasses is less useful, and may even be unsuitable.
In the field of ophthalmology, by providing a lens that selectively filters incident light in the visible region of the spectrum, for example at about 650 nm (red region) to 475 nm (blue region), particularly at short (blue) wavelengths, neurologically It has been found that the light coming through the lens is modified to affect the way it is processed. Lenses are being manufactured for patients suffering from color blindness, which lenses are individually tinted for the patient's visual characteristics. With these corrective lenses, the patient acquires optical discrimination and can accurately recognize colors, and also solves many symptoms of dyslexia.
In particular, the 1.74 colored lens having a refractive index of 1.74 is a lens that cannot be colored using colored dyes due to the characteristics of the material (MR-174, MCI, Japan) that manufactures Renzo.
