Description
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device.
A liquid crystal display (LCD) cannot form an image by emitting light by itself, unlike a plasma display panel (PDP), a field emission display (FED), etc., which are light-emitting display devices. It is a light-receiving display device in which light is incident from the outside to form an image. Accordingly, in the liquid crystal display, a backlight unit (BLU) for emitting light is positioned on the rear surface thereof.
A backlight unit for a liquid crystal display uses a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) as a light source. However, when such a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp is used as a light source, it is difficult to ensure uniformity of luminance and color purity is deteriorated as the liquid crystal display becomes larger.
Recently, a backlight unit using three color LEDs as a light source has been developed, and a backlight using such a three color light emitting diode as a light source can reproduce high color purity and thus can be applied to a high-quality display device. However, there is a disadvantage in that the price is very high compared to a backlight unit using a cold cathode fluorescent lamp as a light source. In order to overcome this disadvantage, a white LED that converts light emitted from a single color LED chip into white light and emits it has been developed.
However, although such a white LED can secure economic feasibility, there is a problem in that color purity and color reproducibility are lower than that of a tri-color LED.

Hereinafter, a color conversion layer according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1A and 1B . 1A is a perspective view of a color conversion layer according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 1B is a cross-sectional view of the color conversion layer according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, the
The block copolymer including the first block

In this case, the repeated shape of the block structural unit may form various structures such as a sphere, a cylinder, and a lamellar, and in the embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. The block copolymer thus formed is thermodynamically stable, and in the synthesis step of the block copolymer, the size, shape and physical properties of the self-assembled block structural unit can be controlled by adjusting the type, ratio, and molecular weight of the polymer. .
