In general, the field of power tools that facilitate work using electricity is expanding, but most of the power tools have to be used for household, industrial, and commercial AC power, so the places where they are used have been limited.

Therefore, the demand for rechargeable power tools that can be used in places without electricity has increased, and now rechargeable battery packs are installed and used in power tools. In addition, charging of the battery pack is performed by connecting and coupling to a separate battery pack charging device.

1A and 1B show a battery pack charging device for a rechargeable power tool according to the prior art. As shown in the drawing, the battery pack charging device 10 has an appearance through a combination of the upper housing 12 and the lower housing 14. Is forming. In particular, a terminal block 18 having a connection terminal 16 on the upper housing 12 is assembled and fixed to the coupling hole 20 of the upper housing 12 in a detachable form.

In addition, the inside of the lower housing 14 is coupled in a form in which the PCB 22 is assembled, and the PCB 22 is electrically connected to the connection terminal 16 of the terminal block 18 through a cable (not shown). It is connected.

However, as described above, the battery pack charging device 10 inserts the connection terminal 16 into the terminal block 18 and manufactures it as a separate component, which increases the mold cost and material cost, which makes it difficult to realize cost reduction. There was a problem.

In addition, the terminal block 18 separately manufactured as above must be assembled to the upper housing 12, and electrical connection between the connection terminal 16 of the terminal block 18 and the PCB 22 using a separate cable. There was a problem in that it was difficult to simplify the number of parts as well as the number of processes because work was required, so that both workability and productivity could not be improved.

Hereinafter, an apparatus for charging a battery pack for a rechargeable power tool according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying exemplary drawings.

As shown in FIGS. 2A to 3, the battery pack charging device 30 is formed by a combination of an upper housing 32 and a lower housing 34.

Specifically, the lower housing 34 is coupled in a form in which the PCB 36 is accommodated, and the first, third and fifth terminals 38a, 38b and 38c and the second And a connection terminal 46 composed of the fourth terminals 40a and 40b is vertically disposed toward the upper housing 32 in a state of being soldered to the PCB 36.

The connection terminal 46 is composed of a first terminal portion 48 electrically connected to the PCB 36 and a second terminal portion 50 drawn out through the slot hole 54, and the first terminal portion 48 and The second terminal part 50 has a stepped step 52 forming a step difference from each other, and has an integral structure that is connected in a form disposed on one side and the other side respectively.

At this time, of the connection terminals 46, the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, and 38c and the second and fourth terminals 40a and 40b are all of the same structure and shape, and are only opposite to each other. It is arranged in the direction. That is, assuming that the second terminal part 50 is a virtual square, looking at the direction in which the stepped part 52 formed at one corner is located, the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, 38c And the second and fourth terminals 40a and 40b are arranged to be located in opposite directions to each other.

Meanwhile, slot holes 54 are formed in the upper housing 32 so that when the lower housing 34 is coupled, the connection terminals 46 described above are drawn out in the form of penetrating therethrough.

In particular, guide ribs 56a and 56b are formed on the inner surface of the upper housing 32 toward the lower housing 34 at one end of the slot hole 54, and the guide groove ( 58a) is dug, and a guide groove 58b is also dug inside the adjacent guide rib 56b.

Therefore, when the connection terminal 46 enters the slot hole 54, the second terminal portion 50 of the connection terminal 46 follows the guide grooves 58a, 58b of the corresponding guide ribs 56a, 56b, respectively. As they slide together, they enter each corresponding slot hole 54 to induce the assembly of the connection terminal 46 more stably, and the assembly position is guided while holding the connection terminal 46 stably. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent bending and electrical connection destruction of the connection terminal 46 due to a contact impact and bump of the connection terminal 46 during assembly.

In particular, the guide rib 56a for guiding the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, 38c of the connection terminals 46 is a guide rib for guiding the second and fourth terminals 40a, 40b. Heights S1 and S2 are formed different from each other from the inner surface of the upper housing 32 and 56b.

Therefore, when entering the connection terminal 46 into the guide grooves 58a, 58b of the guide ribs 56a, 56b, for example, the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, 38c The first, third and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, 38c are guided through the guide groove 58a of the guide rib 56a, and the second and fourth terminals 40a, 40b are When entering the guide groove 58b of the guide rib 56b guiding the four terminals 40a and 40b, all of the connection terminals 46 are completely entered.

Conversely, when the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, 38c enter the guide groove 58b of the guide rib 56b that guides the second and fourth terminals 40a, 40b by mistake , The guide rib 56b has a difference between the guide ribs 56a and the heights S1 and S2, so that the stepped portions 52 of the first, third and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, and 38c are guide ribs 56b. ) Is blocked.

As a result, the first, third, and fifth terminals 38a, 38b, and 38c do not completely enter the guide rib 56b, and thus the slot hole 54 of the connection terminal 46 and the upper housing 32 ), the mis-assembly is recognized in advance, and a stable assembly is naturally induced in the assembly.

In other words, the complete entry into the guide rib 56b is prevented according to the position of the stepped portion 52 according to the arrangement direction of the connection terminals 46 so that all of the connection terminals 46 are not completely entered.

Therefore, when the battery pack charging device for a rechargeable power tool according to the present invention is used, the mold cost and material cost raised in the background art can be significantly reduced by the structure in which the connection terminal is directly assembled to the PCB, and the process along with it Simplification of the number of parts and the number of parts is realized, and both work efficiency and productivity can be improved.

As described above, although the present invention has been described by a limited practical example and drawings, the present invention is not limited thereto, and furthermore, the technical idea of the present invention and the technical idea of the present invention by those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains.
