Abstract
It includes a porous substrate and an adhesive layer located on one side of the substrate, the adhesive layer comprises a nickel-phosphate molecular sieve, the nickel-phosphate molecular sieve is a metal-substituted ethylene gas adsorption film and the ethylene gas adsorption film Included wrapping paper is provided.
Description
The present description relates to an ethylene gas adsorption film and a wrapping paper including the same.
In general, fruits such as apples, pears, tomatoes, peaches, mangoes and strawberries, vegetables such as lettuce, and flowers such as carnations release ethylene gas, one of the plant hormones that promote maturation during maturation. Ethylene gas exerts a positive effect on improving the taste and making the color tasteful during the maturation process of fruits and vegetables. However, ethylene gas is also produced in fruits and vegetables after harvesting, and ethylene gas generated at this time acts as a cause of softening and decaying fruit and vegetable tissues because it causes excessive maturation and aging of fruits and vegetables. In particular, because harvested fruits and vegetables are placed in boxes for distribution or storage, they could easily age or decay due to ethylene gas generated from fruits or vegetables inside the boxes. This is because the ethylene gas promotes fermentation to other regions where fermentation has not progressed, thereby reducing freshness.
Therefore, there were many cases in which fruits were harvested under ripe and ripened during transport after harvesting, but since they were not fully ripened, the sweetness of fruits and the crispy texture of vegetables were often degraded.
Therefore, in order to reduce the problem of over-ripe and aging of fruits due to ethylene gas and respiration, the freshness of fruits and vegetables can be maintained for a long time by putting together an ethylene gas absorbent that can absorb and remove ethylene gas in a fruit box or vegetable packaging paper. I even made it possible. However, in general households, there is a limit to preventing aging and spoilage of fruits and vegetables due to ethylene gas because fruits and vegetables are removed from boxes and packaging, separated, and stored individually or mixed with other fruits and vegetables.
In addition, at one time, in order to prevent trauma to fruits due to impact, a soft sheet-type cushioning packaging material mainly made of synthetic resin foam was popular, but such a cushioning packaging material is effective only to prevent trauma to the fruit. It was of little use for maintenance.
That is, in the case of a normal buffering packaging material, it is provided to cover the outer surface of fruits and vegetables more than half to prevent the trauma of fruits and vegetables. This buffering packaging makes it difficult for fruits and vegetables to breathe and ethylene gas is trapped inside the packaging material. Since it is not easily discharged to the outside in a lost state, there is a concern that it will be damaged more quickly than fruits and vegetables packaged without a buffering packaging material. In addition, when fruits and vegetables are wrapped in a box or plastic bag while being wrapped by such a buffering packaging material, ethylene gas is not properly removed even if an ethylene gas absorbent is put in the box or plastic.
Recently, it has been reported that the freshness of food is improved by adsorbing a small amount of ethylene gas generated by zeolite or charcoal, and thus, packaging materials containing a small amount of zeolite or charcoal are currently commercialized. However, since the packaging material containing charcoal has a black color, the consumer's selectivity is deteriorated when used as a food packaging material. In particular, zeolite has a limitation in the amount of ethylene adsorption, so that the development of a new material with improved adsorption is required.
One embodiment is to provide an ethylene gas adsorption film capable of effectively adsorbing ethylene gas discharged during maturation of fruits or vegetables, and keeping fruits or vegetables fresh for a long time.

Hereinafter, an ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment will be described. The ethylene gas adsorption film may be suitable for packaging fruits or vegetables, and the type of fruits or vegetables is not limited to a specific type.
In addition, the following examples are an example of an ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment, and in particular, the ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment is not limited to the above example.
The ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment includes a porous substrate and an adhesive layer positioned on one surface of the substrate, the adhesive layer includes a nickel-phosphate molecular sieve, and the nickel-phosphate molecular sieve is substituted with a metal.
The mechanism of metabolism of ethylene in plant tissues is shown in FIG. 9. In Fig. 9, [O] represents an ethylene oxidase (ethylene monooxygenase). As shown below, there are two active sites in the plant to metabolize ethylene. At the activation site I, ethylene is oxidized and converted to ethylene oxide, which is then oxidized to carbon dioxide through ethylene glycol. At the activation site II, after conversion to ethylene glycol, it binds with glucose again to form an ethylene glycol-glucose conjugate.
In Fig. 10, the metabolic mechanism of ethylene is shown in more detail.
Ethylene is converted to ethylene oxide by ethylene oxidase (ethylene monooxygenase), and binds to receptors, causing a biochemical reaction. In that case, NADPH is required as a coenzyme. When this coenzyme is oxidized or decomposed, a chemical reaction proceeds using the energy released. Ethylene oxide becomes ethylene glycol at other sites and is metabolized to carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide has an effect of increasing the activity of ethylene monooxygenase. Glyoxylation of ethylene glycol is a pathway for detoxification of ethylene.
Conventionally, it was confirmed that charcoal can well adsorb ethylene gas from the mechanism of ethylene metabolism, and thus, an ethylene gas adsorbent using charcoal is actually distributed on the market. However, since charcoal is black in color, when it is used as a wrapping paper, an opaque wrapping paper is used, and there is a problem that users who use the charcoal cannot give reliability to the condition of the article inside the wrapping paper.
Accordingly, after a long study of the inventors, etc., while making it possible to manufacture a transparent film using a separate porous substrate, a two-layered film having a separate layer including a nickel-phosphate molecular sieve on one side of the porous substrate was developed. Compared with the conventional ethylene gas adsorbent, the two-layered film absorbs ethylene gas very effectively, has excellent acid water permeability, is transparent, and is also capable of forming as a three-layered film by adding an additional printing layer. It was confirmed easy.
First, the ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment has a two-layer structure including a porous substrate and an adhesive layer positioned on one surface of the porous substrate. By including the porous substrate, not only can the packaging of a transparent material be provided, but also because the porous substrate and the adhesive layer are formed as separate layers, ethylene gas generated from the packaged fruits or vegetables can easily pass through the pores of the porous substrate. The collected ethylene gas rises along the pores and is adsorbed on the nickel-phosphate molecular sieve substituted with a metal in the adhesive layer, so that the degree of ethylene gas adsorption is superior compared to the conventional ethylene gas adsorbent. Referring to FIG. 1, an ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment having a two-layer structure can be confirmed. Referring to FIG. 2, an adhesive layer, which is one of the two-layer structures, captures ethylene gas through pores in the porous substrate. As a result, it can be confirmed that it is effectively adsorbed to the nickel-phosphate molecular sieve substituted with a metal.
Further, the adhesive layer can add a separate layer on one side (specifically, a position opposite to the porous substrate), and it is also possible to print an image or the like on an adsorption film as described later, and its utilization is also excellent.
For example, the nickel-phosphate-based molecular sieve substituted with the metal may be included in 5% to 10% by weight in the ethylene gas adsorption film. When the nickel-phosphate-based molecular sieve substituted with the metal is included in the above range in the ethylene gas adsorption film, the oxygen permeability of the ethylene gas adsorption film may be excellent. For example, when the nickel-phosphate-based molecular sieve substituted with the metal is included in an amount of less than 5% by weight or more than 10% by weight in the ethylene gas adsorption film, the oxygen permeability is excellent even though the degree of ethylene gas adsorption of the ethylene gas adsorption film is excellent. Falling off, there is a risk of deteriorating the freshness of packaged fruits and vegetables. The freshness of packaged fruits and vegetables is because the freshness of fruits and vegetables can be changed not only by ethylene gas generated during maturation but also by oxygen generated during the breathing process of fruits or vegetables. That is, the ethylene gas adsorption film according to an embodiment limits the content of the nickel-phosphate-based molecular sieve substituted with metal in the adsorption film, thereby controlling the degree of ethylene gas adsorption and oxygen permeability. Freshness can be kept very good for a long time.
Meanwhile, the porous substrate may have a thickness of 20 μm to 200 μm, such as 20 μm to 100 μm, such as 20 μm to 70 μm. When the porous substrate has a thickness within the above range, the oxygen permeability of the ethylene gas adsorption film may be excellent. For example, when the thickness of the porous substrate is less than 20 μm, it is difficult to manufacture a two-layered film using a nickel-phosphate molecular sieve substituted with a metal, and furthermore, there is a problem that the ethylene gas adsorption effect is slightly lowered. If it exceeds µm, the oxygen permeability may be lowered. As described above, irrespective of the degree of ethylene gas adsorption, it may cause a problem of lowering the freshness of packaged fruits or vegetables.
For example, the porous substrate may be a polyethylene film, specifically, a linear low density polyethylene film. When a linear low-density polyethylene film is used as the porous substrate, it may be possible to provide a film having excellent transparency and durability at the same time.

For example, the ethylene gas adsorption film may further include a printing layer on the other side of the adhesive layer, for example, at a position opposite to the porous substrate.
Evaluation 1: Degree of ethylene gas adsorption
The amount of ethylene gas adsorbed was confirmed to be the degree of ethylene removal. Specifically, a cube acrylic case with a length of 200 mm on one side was prepared, and lettuce was put inside. 50 g of ethylene gas adsorption films of Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3 were disposed around the lettuce, respectively. A fan was attached to the upper part of the case to circulate the air in the system.

In particular, it can be seen that the ethylene gas adsorption films according to Examples 1, 2, 5 and 6 have very excellent degree of ethylene gas adsorption, from which nickel-phosphate substituted with metal in the ethylene gas adsorption film. It can be seen that the content of the molecular sieve and the thickness of the porous substrate influence the degree of adsorption of ethylene gas.

From Table 2 and FIGS. 3 to 5, it can be seen that the ethylene gas adsorption film according to the embodiment has very excellent degree of ethylene gas adsorption compared to the film according to the comparative example.
