Description
The present invention relates to a lighting driving apparatus, and more particularly, to a digital light emitting device driving apparatus using a microcontrol unit (MCU).
Light-emitting device technology including LED (Light Emitting Diode) is rapidly becoming highly efficient due to technological competition. With the development of white LEDs, they are spreading to the general lighting and high-efficiency lighting markets, and are attracting attention as automotive lighting.
In particular, when designing a driving circuit for a light-emitting device, various types of driving circuits can be implemented. However, the driving circuit may be used according to the purpose of use, driving characteristics of the light-emitting device, and configuration of the light-emitting device. Since it has a lot of influence on lifespan, it is necessary to study it in depth.
In general, a light emitting device driving apparatus including an LED uses an analog method, and as a prior art, a power supply system and a method for operating an electric load are introduced. Looking at the prior art, the
However, since the prior art employs an analog method, there is a limitation that only a fixed current can be sinked from a voltage regulator. In addition, there is a problem that voltage, current, and deviation of the light emitting devices required for driving are different depending on the light emitting devices, and accordingly, a driving circuit for controlling them must also be changed. In addition, when a driving circuit that is not suitable for the driving characteristics of the light emitting device is used, there is a problem that it is not possible to secure the reliability of the driving circuit for the light emitting device as well as the light emitting device itself due to generation of heat.
An object of the present invention for solving the above-described problem is to provide a digital light emitting device driving apparatus using an MCU.

As an example, the direct current voltage Vout supplied to the light emitting
The
The
Each of the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal has an independent duty ratio. Meanwhile, the duty cycle is a value representing the ratio of the pulse width to the pulse period in the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method, and the unit is %.
The duty ratio is continuously adjusted in a range from 0% to 100% by the control of the

The first resistor R1 has one end connected to the first switching element Q1 and the other end connected to the node A of the

The

The current flowing through the fifth switching element Q5 is applied to the third resistor R3, and the voltage of the third resistor R3 overlaps the voltage of the node A of the

When the duty ratio of the second PWM signal increases, the voltage output from the low-
On the other hand, in the case of the prior art, since the amount of current sinking from the UV terminal is limited, the voltage control range is only 1 ~ 2V deviation, and the field that can be applied according to the characteristics of the load voltage was limited. For example, the driving voltage of the LED applied to the TV backlight is about 1.7V, the driving voltage of the LED applied to the LED lighting is about 2V, the driving voltage for OLED lighting is about 6V, and the driving voltage for vehicle lighting LED is about 2V~ It is 3.5V. In addition, the arrangement of the light emitting device array is different according to each application field, and the variation of the light emitting device string generated according to the ambient temperature environment is different.
