Semiconductor devices are used in various electronic applications such as personal computers, cellular phones, digital cameras, and other electronic equipment, for example. Semiconductor devices typically deposit insulating or dielectric layers, conductive layers, and layers of semiconducting material sequentially on a semiconductor substrate, and patterning or processing the substrate and/or various material layers using lithography to form a circuit on the substrate. It is manufactured by forming components and elements and forming integrated circuits. Dozens or hundreds of integrated circuits are typically fabricated on a single semiconductor wafer. Individual dies are singulated by sawing the integrated circuits along the scribe line. The individual dies are then individually packaged, for example in multi-chip modules or in other types of packaging.
본 발명의 배경이 되는 기술은 미국 특허공보 US6646328(2003.11.11.) When a semiconductor device is used in an electronic device, a power source such as a battery is generally connected to a die to supply power and may be charged by a wireless charging system. In a wireless charging system, an electromagnetic field is generated by a charging station and energy is transferred to an electronic device. The induction coil in the electronic device takes power from the electromagnetic field and converts it back to current to charge the battery.
The technology behind the present invention is disclosed in US 6646328 (2003.11.11.).

According to some embodiments, a conductive shield is formed on the back-side shielding structure, and a receiving coil (eg, an antenna) is formed on the back-side shielding structure. The conductive shield has an opening and a slot or channel region, and the channel region connects the opening to an outer periphery or edge of the conductive shield. Due to the configuration of the channel region and the opening, an eddy current induced on the conductive shield can induce a secondary magnetic field directed toward the receiving coil. This can increase the mutual inductance between the receiving coil and the transmitting coil, which can increase the transmission efficiency between the receiving coil and the transmitting coil.
