Description
The present invention relates to a plasma torch, and more particularly, to a plasma torch capable of generating plasma stably while having high power (MW class).
In order to melt non-combustible waste materials such as metal and concrete using a plasma torch melting furnace, it is very important to operate a plasma torch capable of generating plasma with high power and stability.
In general, the plasma torch is configured to form an internal electrode in a cavity type, and a gas such as nitrogen or argon is introduced into the center to generate plasma. A cooling flow path is formed on the outside of the electrode to minimize the loss of electrode material due to plasma discharge and high temperature, and to maintain the electrode performance to stably manage the plasma torch.
However, the cavity or rod-type or button-type plasma torch has a simple cooling and gas inlet passage inside, and is supplied in one place, so that the electrode cooling due to the variation in cooling temperature is not constant, and the gas flow is not constant. There is a disadvantage that the fluctuation occurs severely.
In this case, the instability of operating variables may occur during the melting process of the waste, which may cause difficulties in equipment stability. In the case of the general cavity type and the button type, the enthalpy is reduced because the arc length decreases and the gas flow rate must be increased when the current increases. Relatively low. In addition, it is difficult to electrically insulate between the front electrode and the torch body, and it is difficult to fix the cathode point, so that abnormal arcing is likely to occur during the reverse polarity operation, and it is difficult to operate the MW class high-power reverse polarity.
The present invention is intended to improve the problems of the prior art, and a plasma torch capable of generating plasma with high power (MW class) and stably using a multi-plate electrode body composed of unit segments in which individual cooling flow paths and gas flow paths are formed.
