Description
The present invention relates to an acid gas treatment apparatus that can increase the separation efficiency of acid gas and reduce the amount of steam used in a regeneration tower.
From the early 19th century, when industrialization began, the concentration of acidic gases such as CO2, CH4, H2S, and COS increased rapidly in the atmosphere due to the increased use of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and LNG. As these acid gases, especially carbon dioxide, have been found to warm the planet, regulations on emissions and disposal are becoming more stringent worldwide. In June 1992, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio, Brazil, raised international attention to global warming, and developed countries including the United States and Japan agreed to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 5.2% compared to 1990. There is international agreement on how to reduce acid gases.
Techniques to curb increased carbon dioxide emissions include energy saving technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, carbon capture and storage of carbon dioxide from emissions, technologies to use or immobilize carbon dioxide, and not to emit carbon dioxide. Alternative energy technologies.
However, among them, CCS technology is recognized as the most effective technology for dealing with the large amount of greenhouse gases emitted from power plants and industrial facilities. Is actively encouraging technology development and utilization.
The capture technology accounts for a large part of the total cost of the CCS technology, and the techniques that have been studied so far include absorption, adsorption, membrane separation, and deep cooling.
In particular, the absorption method is easy to process a large amount of gas, and because it is suitable for low concentration gas separation, it is easy to apply to most industries and power plants and has high utility.

Acid gas treatment apparatus according to the present invention is supplied with a mixed gas containing an acid gas, the absorption tower to induce a reaction of the absorbent and the acid gas therein to produce an acid gas saturated absorbent; A regeneration tower receiving the acid gas saturated absorbent of the absorption tower and separating the acid gas and the absorbent from the acid gas saturated gas through steam supplied therein; A flash drum connected to the regeneration tower to separate the absorbent from vapor; A compressor for pressurizing the steam of the flash drum and converting the steam to high temperature and high pressure steam; And a heat exchanger configured to heat exchange the vapor of the compressor with the absorbent branched from the regeneration tower and to supply the regeneration tower.
Here, the absorbent branched from the regeneration tower heat exchanged through the heat exchanger may be supplied back to the regeneration tower.
In addition, the operating pressure of the compressor may be 0.1 [barg] to 0.5 [barg] higher than the operating pressure of the regeneration tower.
In addition, the operating pressure of the flash drum may be 0.1 [barg] to 1.0 [barg].

In addition, an additional heat exchanger may be further provided between a path through which the absorbent is resupplied to the absorption tower and a path through which the acid gas saturated absorbent of the absorption tower is supplied to the regeneration tower.
The acid gas treatment apparatus according to the present invention includes a flash drum at the bottom of the regeneration tower, and converts the vapor separated from the absorbent into a high temperature and high pressure steam through a pressurizer, and heats the absorbent and the high temperature high pressure steam branched from the regeneration tower.
Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily practice the present invention.
1 is a block diagram of an acid gas treatment apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, referring to FIG. 1, an acid
The
The
The
The
More specifically, the acidic gas saturated absorbent supplied to the upper portion of the
In addition, a stripped acid gas including a steam (H 2 O) component is moved to a cooler (not shown) to the top of the
In addition, for this purpose, the operating pressure of the
In addition, the pressure of the
The
The
The
Hereinafter will be described step by step the acidic gas treatment according to an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 2 is a flow chart illustrating the step of treating acid gas along the apparatus of FIG. 1.
Referring to FIG. 2, first, a mixed gas including an acidic gas is supplied through a
And along
In addition, along
Finally, along line ④, the absorbent partially branched in the

Next, Example 2 was tested under the same conditions as in Example 1 except that the operating pressure of the flash drum was 1.0 [barg].
