Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting a critical point from the electrocardiogram signal, and more particularly, to an apparatus and a method for detecting a critical point used for diagnosing arrhythmia from the electrocardiogram signal.
The heart acts as a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The heart is constantly repeating contractions and expansions. The pumping of the heart is caused by the contraction of the heart muscle, which produces weak electricity each time the heart beats, causing current to flow through the body. This current causes dislocation distribution on the surface of the body. Electrocardiogram (Electrocardiogram, ECG) is a small measure of the potential change caused by the activity of the heart, measured in a certain way in the appropriate area of the body surface.
The ECG can be analyzed to diagnose patients with or suspected arrhythmia. Arrhythmia is when the heart beats too fast (more than 100 times per minute in adults) and too slowly (less than 60 times). Arrhythmia can cause dizziness, fainting, shortness of breath, chest pain and, in severe cases, risk of cardiac arrest.
FIG. 1 is a waveform diagram of a general ECG signal, and in arrhythmia diagnosis, detection of an R-R interval is very important. RR interval from ECG signal, transform based detection techniques such as wavelet transform and Hilbert transform, kalman filter, middle band filter, filter bank ( filter-based detection techniques such as filter banks, artificial neural network-based detection techniques, and threshold-based detection techniques.
However, the conventional techniques described above are complicated and have a large amount of calculations, and thus, real-time processing is difficult, and a threshold-based detection technique having a relatively small amount of calculations causes many errors in R-R interval detection.

Prior to describing the apparatus for detecting the PQRST wave from the ECG signal of the present invention, the waveform characteristics of the ECG signal will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 2.
The ECG signal is composed of a P-wave, a QRS-wave, and a T-wave, which are continuous in time, as shown in FIG. 2. The QRS wave is also called a 'QRS complex' and is composed of Q waves, R waves, and S waves that are continuous in time.
P waves occur when the stimulus transmitted to the atria through the sinoatrial node (SA node) depolarizes the atrium.
QRS waves occur during ventricular depolarization.
T waves occur during ventricular repolarization. Since repolarization proceeds more slowly than depolarization, T waves are wider than QRS waves and have a lower amplitude.
Arrhythmia can be diagnosed from the abnormality of the P wave, the QRS wave, and the T wave, and at this time, an element for determining the abnormality of each wave, the interval (Interval) between neighboring waves, and the neighboring waves are connected. There are segments, amplitudes of each wave, and sharpness of each wave, and arrhythmia can be diagnosed by whether the values of these factors are within the normal range. The spacing with neighboring waves may be, for example, the spacing (PR spacing) from the start of the P wave to the start of the QRS wave and the spacing (QT spacing) from the start of the QRS wave to the end of the T wave, where the segment is For example, it may be a PR segment connecting the P wave and the QRS wave and an ST segment connecting the QRS wave and the T wave.
The QRS wave has the narrowest width and the highest magnitude compared to other waves (P wave, T wave). In the present invention, using this feature, P, Q, R, S, and T points corresponding to the peak values of each wave, and peripheral points P left , P right , Q of P, Q, R, S, and T points. left , S right , T left and T right ) to detect the correct PQRST wave from the ECG signal. Here, P, R, and T are upward peak values of P waves, R waves, and T waves, respectively, and Q and S points define downward peak values of Q waves and S waves, respectively. P left and P right The start and end points of the P wave are respectively, and Q left and S right define the start point (or start point of the Q wave) and the end point (or end point of the S wave) of the QRS wave, respectively. The

플래그 flag 생성부Generating unit (240)(240)
Such a flag F (x) minimizes an error in setting the QRS interval set by the QRS

The remaining
According to the detection order, first, the Q point is detected. The Q point is a point representing a downward peak value of the Q signal (or Q wave) and is detected from the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, the Q point is detected at a position where the gradient change is changed from positive to negative while traveling in the left direction on the x-axis based on the detected R point, which is represented by Equation 7 below. . That is, the Q point is the first point detected among points satisfying Equation 7 below.
After detection of the Q point, the Q left The point is detected. Q left A point is detected from the ECG signal I (x) as the start point of the QRS signal (QRS wave) or the start point of the Q signal (or Q wave). Specifically, the Q left The point is detected at the position where the gradient change is changed from negative to positive while traveling in the left direction on the x-axis based on the detected Q point, which is expressed by Equation 8 below. That is, the Q left The point is the first detected point among points satisfying Equation 8 below.
Q left After the detection of the point, the P point is detected. The P point is a point indicating an upward peak value of the P signal (P wave) and, unlike the Q point, is detected in the background signal B (x). The P point is in a gentle curve region, as shown in FIG. 2, while the Q point of the Q signal (Q wave) is in a sharp curved region. That is, the P point exists in an area where noise is widely distributed, and the Q point is present in an area where noise is narrowly distributed. This means that the false detection rate of P point is higher than that of Q point. Therefore, the P point is preferably detected in the background signal B (x) from which the noise is removed. For the same reason, the T point is also detected in the background signal B (x).
The P point is the detected Q left Progressing in the left direction on the x axis with respect to the point, the tilt change is detected at a position that changes from positive to negative. As described above, the P point is detected in the background signal B (x) from which the noise is removed. However, since the noise cannot be completely removed physically, the background signal B (x) may still contain noise. This noise is still a factor that prevents accurate detection of the P point from the background signal B (x).
In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to sufficiently set the left point interval and the right point interval on the basis of the P point, and to search for the inclination change within the sufficiently set interval. Specifically, the P point is preferably detected at a position where a positive slope is continuously searched at the left N (natural number) point intervals based on itself, and a negative slope is continuously searched at the right N point intervals. . When this is expressed as an equation, Equation 9 below. That is, the P point is the first point detected among the points satisfying Equation 9 below.
위의 수학식 9는 상기 P포인트를 기준으로 왼쪽 5개의 포인트 간격(B(x-5)-B(x-4), B(x-4)-B(x-3), B(x-3)-B(x-2), B(x-2)-B(x-1) 및 B(x-1)-B(x))에서 양의 기울기가 지속적으로 탐색되고, 상기 P포인트를 기준으로 오른쪽 5개의 포인트 간격(B(x)-B(x+1), B(x+1)-B(x+2), B(x+2)-B(x+3), B(x+3)-B(x+4) 및 B(x+4)-B(x+5))에서 음의 기울기가 지속적으로 탐색될 조건을 나타낸 식이다.Equation 9 above shows the left five point intervals B (x-5) -B (x-4), B (x-4) -B (x-3), and B (x-) based on the P point. 3) A positive slope is continually searched at B (x-2), B (x-2) -B (x-1) and B (x-1) -B (x)) and the P point is Right 5 point intervals (B (x) -B (x + 1), B (x + 1) -B (x + 2), B (x + 2) -B (x + 3), B ( This expression represents the condition under which the negative slope will be continuously searched at x + 3) -B (x + 4) and B (x + 4) -B (x + 5)).
After detection of the P point, the P left The point is detected. P left A point is a starting point of the P signal (P wave) and is detected in the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, P left The point is the detected P The tilt change is detected at a position where the tilt change is changed from positive to negative while advancing leftward on the x-axis based on a point, and this is expressed by
P left After detection of the point, the P right The point is detected. P right above A point is an end point of the P signal (P wave), which is detected in the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, P right The point is the detected P The tilt change is detected at a position that changes from negative to positive while advancing in the right direction on the x-axis based on a point, which is represented by Equation 11 below. That is, P right The point is the first detected point among points satisfying Equation 11 below.
P right above After detection of the point, the S point is detected. The S point is a point representing a downward peak value of the S signal (S wave) and is detected in the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, the S point is detected at a position where the gradient change is changed from negative to positive while traveling in the right direction on the x-axis based on the detected R point, and this is represented by Equation 12 below. . That is, the S point is the first point detected among points satisfying Equation 12 below.
After detection of the S point, the S right The point is detected. S right A point is an end point of the QRS signal (QRS wave) or an end point of the S signal (S wave), which is detected in the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, S right The point is detected at a position where the gradient change is changed from positive to negative while traveling in the right direction on the x-axis based on the detected S point, which is expressed by Equation 13 below. That is, the S right The point is the first detected point among the points satisfying Equation 13 below.
S right After detection of the point, the T point is detected. The T point is a point representing the peak value of the T signal (T wave) and is detected in the background signal B (x). The reason for detecting the T point in the background signal B (x) instead of the ECG signal I (x) is the same as the reason for detecting the P point in the background signal B (x) as described above. . The T point is the detected S right The tilt change is detected at a position that changes from negative to positive while traveling in the right direction on the x axis with respect to the point. At this time, the T signal (T wave) is a signal having a width wider than the width of the P signal (P wave). This means that the T point representing the peak value of the T signal (T wave) is present in the curve region where the P point representing the peak value of the P signal is gentler than the gentle curve region of the P signal. Therefore, it is desirable to detect the change in slope at more point intervals than the point interval set for the detection of the P point. Specifically, the T point is detected at a position where a positive slope is searched at the left M point intervals based on itself (T point), and a negative slope is searched at the right M point intervals, wherein M is It may be '10'. This can be expressed as an equation (14) below. That is, the T point is the first point detected among points satisfying Equation 14 below.
After detection of the T point, the T left The point is detected. The T left is a starting point of a T signal (T wave) and is detected in the ECG signal I (x). Specifically, the T left is detected at a position where the tilt change is changed from positive to negative while traveling in the left direction on the x-axis based on the detected T point. In this case, the T left is continuously searched for a negative slope in the left K (natural number less than the N) point interval based on itself, and in the right L (natural number greater than the K, less than the N) point interval The positive slope is detected at the position where it is continuously searched. In this case, K may be, for example, '1', and L may be, for example, '3'. When this is expressed as an equation,
(I(x)-I(x+1), I(x+1)-I(x+2) 및 I(x+2)-I(x+3))에서 양의 기울기가 지속적으로 탐색될 조건을 나타내는 수식이다.The above equation (15), in order to detect the left T, the gradient of the negative and the search in the left relative to the left T 1 of point distance (I (x-1) -I (x)), the right three Positive slopes continue at point intervals (I (x) -I (x + 1), I (x + 1) -I (x + 2), and I (x + 2) -I (x + 3)). An expression representing the condition to be searched.
T left After detection of the point, the T right The point is detected. T right The point is the end point of the T signal (T wave), which is detected in the ECG signal I (x). FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating a method of detecting a critical point from an electrocardiogram signal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. For convenience of description, FIGS. 1 to 7 may be referred to. In addition, in the following steps, the descriptions overlapping with the contents described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 7 will be omitted or schematically described.
Referring to FIG. 8, first, in step S110, the ECG signal is filtered to generate a background signal from which a QRS signal is removed. In an embodiment, the QRS signal may be removed from the ECG signal using a one-dimensional bidirectional filter. In another embodiment, the QRS signal may be removed from the ECG signal by using the gradient change on the curve representing the ECG signal. Specifically, among the plurality of points appearing on the curve representing the ECG signal, a plurality of inflection points existing at positions where the slope is changed are detected. In this case, in order to remove the QRS signal represented by the upwardly convex curve, the negative slope is The inflection point present at the position (on the curve which is convex downward) is changed to the positive slope at. Thereafter, the detected plurality of inflection points may be connected to generate a background signal from which the QRS signal is removed. In addition, the linear interpolation method may be used to estimate the interpolation point between the inflection point and the inflection point and connect the plurality of inflection points and the estimated interpolation point to generate the more accurate background signal.
Next, in step S120, a difference signal between the ECG signal and the background signal generated in the previous step is detected.
Subsequently, in step S130, a QRS interval is set within a signal section of the difference signal using a preset threshold. Specifically, points that exceed the threshold among points on the difference signal are generated as flag '1', and other points are generated as flag '0', and then points on the difference signal corresponding to flag '1'. Set a set to the QRS interval. On the other hand, in order to accurately detect (estimate) the R point appearing on the ECG signal within the set QRS interval, it is preferable to set the QRS interval within the difference signal of which the magnitude and width are expanded. In this case, between the step S120 and the step S130, the step of extending the magnitude and width of the difference signal using a signal processing algorithm including the calculation process of the above equation (5) can be added. For example, the coordinate of any point on the curve representing the difference signal detected in step S120 in the two-dimensional coordinate system is called 'D (x)', and the coordinate located on the left side of D (x) on the x-axis is D ( xn), and when the coordinate on the right is called D (x + n), the method replaces D (x) with 'D (x) + D (xn) + D (x + n)'. The width and magnitude of the difference signal detected in step S120 may be extended.
Subsequently, in step S140, the R point on the ECG signal is detected (or estimated) in the QRS interval set within the signal interval of the difference signal (or within the signal interval of the difference signal whose magnitude and width are expanded). In detail, a point existing at a position where the difference signal (or a difference signal having a larger magnitude and width) is the largest in the QRS interval is detected (or estimated) as an R point on the ECG signal.
Subsequently, in step S150, the slope change satisfying the above-described Equations 7 to 16 is searched while the detected R point is advanced in the left direction and the right direction.
Subsequently, in step S160, points at positions where the gradient change satisfying the condition of Equations 7 to 16 are detected are detected as the peripheral points of the detected R point. Specifically, the Q point of the position where the gradient change is changed from positive to negative while proceeding to the left direction based on the detected R point is detected.
Subsequently, while starting the left direction based on the detected Q point, the starting point Q left of the position where the change of the slope is changed from negative to positive is detected. Subsequently, the P point (a peak value of the P signal) is detected at a position where the gradient change is changed from positive to negative while proceeding to the left based on the start point Q left . In this case, the P point is a position where a positive slope is searched for in the left N (natural number) point intervals based on itself, and a negative slope is searched for in the right N point intervals. N may be set variously according to a design, for example, may be '5'.
Subsequently, the left side of the P point is detected and the starting point P left of the position at which the change of the slope is changed from positive to negative is detected.
Subsequently, the end point P left of the position where the gradient change is changed from negative to positive is detected while moving in the right direction with respect to the P point. Subsequently, the S point of the position where the gradient change is changed from negative to positive is detected while traveling in the right direction based on the R point.
Subsequently, the end point S right in which the inclination change is searched from positive to negative is detected while traveling in the right direction based on the S point.
Subsequently, the T point is detected at a position where the gradient change is changed from negative to positive while traveling in the right direction based on the end point S right . In this case, the T point is a position in which a positive slope is searched in the left M point intervals and a negative slope is searched in the right M point intervals. M is a natural number larger than N, and may be, for example, '10'.
Subsequently, while detecting the starting point T left at which the gradient change is changed from positive to negative while moving toward the left with respect to the T point. At this time, the starting point (T left ) is searched for the negative slope in the left K (natural number less than the N) point intervals based on itself, the right L (natural number greater than the K, less than the N) points As the position where the positive slope is searched in the interval, K may be '1' and L may be '3'.
Subsequently, detecting an end point (end point of the T signal) where the tilt change is changed from negative to positive while proceeding in a right direction with respect to the T point, the end point of the T signal is itself As a reference, a negative slope is searched in the left L point intervals, and a positive slope is searched in the right K point intervals.
Meanwhile, the P point and the T point are detected by searching for a gradient change satisfying the above Equations 9 and 14 on the curve representing the background signal, respectively, but the remaining points are inclined on the curve representing the ECG signal. The change is detected by searching. Among the neighboring points, the P point and the T point are detected from the background signal, and the other points except for the P point and the T point are detected from the ECG signal. .
As described above, the apparatus and method for detecting an important point from the ECG signal of the present invention predicts (estimates) a background signal through a one-dimensional bidirectional filter having a lower complexity than a two-dimensional filter or a gradient change analysis having a small amount of calculation. And detecting the R point as well as the surrounding points of the R point individually based on the predicted background signal without increasing the computational complexity, thereby detecting an error caused by the detection of the previous RR interval (the gap between the R point and the R point). I can solve it.
