Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an electric terminal used in a connector for electrical connection, and more particularly to an electric terminal used for a connector for electrical connection, Terminal.
For example, it is common to use a component called a connector for electrical connection of various parts such as an automobile. A terminal made of a conductive material is provided inside the connector. Such a terminal can be said to maintain an electrically connected state by contact with a mating object, and an example of such a terminal is illustrated in Fig.
As shown in the figure, an electrical terminal made of a metal (hereinafter simply referred to as a terminal) includes a connecting
The

When the mating part is inserted, the electric contact state is maintained at the position between the

In the connection and disconnection of such terminals, the electrical connection can be observed from two viewpoints. That is, two aspects must be considered, namely, an insertion force for inserting the counterpart into the
Here, the force applied to the mating object to which the
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a terminal in which the insertion force is low and the contact force is not lowered even in long-term use.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a terminal that maximizes durability and reliability for long-term use while maximizing ease of use and has substantially the same meaning.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an electrical terminal having an electrical connection portion including a bottom surface, both side surfaces extending upward from both side surfaces of the bottom surface, and a ceiling surface for covering an upper portion between the both side surfaces; An elastic contact portion formed at a lower portion of the ceiling surface through a first bending portion formed downward from the ceiling surface in a longitudinal direction in which the mating object is inserted; An upper portion of the contact portion formed between the elastic contact portion and the ceiling portion through the second bending portion formed upward in the elastic contact portion, the free end of the contact portion contacting the bottom surface of the ceiling portion; And a support piece extending from the ceiling surface on the opposite side of the elastic contact portion and supporting the end portion in contact with the bottom surface of the elastic contact portion. Wherein an electric connection is made between the contact portion of the resilient contact portion and the contact portion of the bottom surface while being inserted into the electric contact.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the ceiling portion is formed by bending a portion continuous in the transverse direction on either side, and the elastic contact portion and the supporting piece are each formed on both sides of the longitudinal direction end portion of the ceiling portion.
According to still another embodiment of the present invention, the restriction portion formed on the side surface opposite to the sidewall formed with the ceiling portion so as to restrict upward movement of the ceiling surface is provided.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an electrical terminal having an electrical connection portion including a bottom surface, both side surfaces extending upward from both sides of the bottom surface, and a ceiling surface for covering the upper portion between the both side surfaces; An elastic gripping part formed to extend from one longitudinal side of the ceiling surface and being shaped so that its free end contacts the bottom surface of the ceiling surface by at least one bending part; And a supporting piece extending from the other longitudinal side of the ceiling face and elastically contacting the free end of the elastic supporting member with the bottom of the elastic supporting piece by at least one bending portion. Then, the mating member inserted in the front is inserted between the contact portion of the elastic contact portion and the contact portion of the bottom surface, and electrical connection is made.
In the terminal of the present invention having the above-described structure, the stress is concentrated on the entirety of the elastic contact portion deformed by the insertion of the mating member by the bending portions on both sides, so that stress concentration is not generated. In addition, the elastic restoring force as a whole can be firmly established by the structure of the pair of bending portions forming the elastic contact portion, the free end contacting the bottom surface of the ceiling face, and the support member supporting the elastic contact portion, Preload), it is possible to have a stronger contact force and to secure a constant terminal GAP dimension, thereby providing a terminal with a constant quality level.
The ability to have such a strong contact force means that the interval for inserting the mating object can be made larger in actuality, and the inserting force can be minimized by increasing the inserting interval of the mating object. In other words, it can be seen that the terminal of the present invention is advantageous in that a relatively smooth insertion is possible and a sufficient contact pressure can be obtained in a coupled state. The fact that the inserting interval can be increased in this way means that the amount of deformation of the entire terminal can be substantially minimized, and it is nevertheless the same meaning that the electrical connection can be stably provided. As described above, the electrical terminal of the present invention can be expected to have advantages of handling convenience by minimizing the insertion force and having a solid contact pressure.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail based on the embodiments shown in the drawings. Hereinafter, the internal structure of the terminal will be described with reference to FIG. 2, and the relationship between the internal structure of the terminal and the external portion will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG.
As shown in FIG. 2, the terminal of the present invention comprises an
The
The
The
Such an
The
The
In the present invention, the
Hereinafter, the process of joining the terminal of the present invention with the counterpart will be described. The counterpart for making electrical contact with such a terminal comes to the rear through the insertion space R from the front. The
In the present invention, when the
The fact that the force for raising the
As described above, in the present invention, the
Even if the counterpart tap is inserted between the
Next, a supplementary description will be given of the structure of the terminal described above with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG. The terminal as in the present invention is made by a progressive mold starting from a metal strap and having a number of mold operations. In Fig. 4, the arrow A is the direction of the metal strap (or the longitudinal direction) and the arrow B is the direction perpendicular to the metal strap (the lateral direction).
As can be seen in Fig. 4, the aforementioned
When the terminal of the present invention is designed with the above arrangement in a planar metal plate, a substantial advantage can be seen in the longitudinal direction of the metal strap. A
