Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to an electrode production system for a secondary battery, and more particularly, to an electrode production system for a secondary battery capable of improving the productivity of an electrode for a secondary battery.
Generally, the term "chemical transfer" refers to a battery which includes an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte and generates electrical energy by using a chemical reaction. The battery includes a primary battery used as a disposable battery and a secondary battery .
The use of secondary batteries is gradually increasing due to the advantages of charging and discharging. Among such secondary batteries, lithium secondary batteries have a high energy density per unit weight, and are therefore widely used as power sources for electronic communication devices or in high-output hybrid vehicles.
An electrode used in such a secondary battery is used as a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the battery, and is used to electrically connect the battery and the outside of the battery.
The electrode is produced through a notching process for forming an electrode tab in an electrode material formed of a patterned metal plate and a cutting process for cutting the electrode material having the electrode tab formed thereon at regular intervals. The kind of the electrode material may be changed depending on the direction in which the electrode tab is formed. For example, there may be a first type in which the region for forming the electrode tab protrudes in the width direction of the electrode material, and a second type in which the region for forming the electrode tab protrudes in the longitudinal direction of the electrode material. Here, in the case of the second type, since the projecting direction of the electrode tab is the same as the conveying direction of the electrode material, an error in the size of the electrode tab may be largely generated with respect to the longitudinal direction.
An object of the present invention is to provide an electrode production system for a secondary battery capable of reducing an error in the size of the electrode tab when the protruding direction of the electrode tab is the same as the transport direction of the electrode material.
