Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an air dryer for installing a transformer and a method of installing and checking a transformer using the air dryer. More particularly, the present invention relates to an air dryer for installing a transformer for supplying dry air to a work space inside a transformer, And a method of performing installation and inspection work inside the transformer.
Generally, when installing and inspecting the transformer, dry air is supplied to prevent the insulation inside the transformer from being exposed to external moisture (moisture). Typically, such dry air requires a dew point of less than -40 degrees, and the compressed air can be dried through an air dryer to be supplied to the work site.
Air dryers are a type of device that removes moisture contained in the air, and can be roughly divided into a freezing type and an absorption type depending on a drying method. In general, the refrigerating type can be classified into a method in which the temperature of the compressed air is lowered and then the moisture contained in the air is condensed and removed. In the adsorption type, compressed air is passed through the space filled with the adsorbent (dehumidifying agent) And the like. Depending on the regeneration method of the adsorbent, the adsorption type may be classified into a non-heating type requiring no heat source and a heating type using an external heat source.
The air dryer for installing the transformer may use various types of air dryer depending on the working conditions and environment, but an air dryer in which a combination of absorption type and freeze type and absorption type is used is usually used. It is possible to produce a large amount of dry air at a relatively low dew point. For example, Patent Publication No. 10-0678495 discloses such an air dryer for installing a transformer.
The adsorptive air dryer typically uses a pair of adsorption columns filled with adsorbent to dry the compressed air. The reason why the adsorption towers are formed as a pair is that one adsorption tower can be regenerated while drying is performed in any one adsorption tower. That is, the pair of adsorption towers are alternated with each other, and the drying and regeneration process is performed, so that the continuous drying air can be generated.
However, in the conventional case, when the drying is performed by passing the compressed air through the adsorption column as described above, the flow of the compressed air is concentrated at the central portion of the adsorption tower, so that moisture can not be adsorbed evenly to the adsorbent, There is a problem of falling somewhat.
That is, generally, compressed air is supplied to the lower center of the adsorption tower and flows upward, and is discharged to the upper center of the adsorption tower. Due to the pressure or flow rate of the compressed air, such a flow is concentrated in the central portion, It is not evenly distributed, and only the adsorbent in the middle part is used for drying. This centrally biased flow can eventually lead to poor drying performance due to the inability to fully incorporate all of the packed adsorbent into the drying process and relatively frequent replacement of the adsorbent do.
The embodiments of the present invention are directed to an air dryer for installing a transformer having a pair of adsorption towers in which drying and regeneration processes are alternately performed. On the other hand, if necessary, the
However, the drying and regeneration process of the

Referring to FIG. 3, the
The
The
The
The compressed air mainly flows into the
The on-off
Fig. 4 (a) is a schematic view showing the operation of the
4 (a) schematically shows a view from above the inside of the
In the center of the inside of the
The swirling flow prevents the flow of the compressed air from being concentrated at the central portion of the
Referring again to FIG. 3, the
FIG. 4 (b) is a schematic view showing the
Referring to FIG. 4 (b), the
Particularly, since the
The compressed air discharged sideways (strictly, upwardly) through the plurality of slit holes 134 is mixed with the compressed air introduced by the above-described
Referring again to FIG. 3, the
The
In addition, the
The compressed air introduced into the
The first and
FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing the
Referring to FIG. 5, the
At this time, the polygonal pyramid-shaped
The
In addition, in the
6 is an operational state diagram of the
6 (a) schematically shows the flow of the air during the drying process. Referring to FIG. 6, compressed air is partially supplied to the center of the inside of the
The compressed air introduced through the
On the other hand, a part of the compressed air introduced through the
In addition, the compressed air that generates the swirling flow and flows upward can be distributed to the filling space filled with the adsorbent through the plurality of distribution holes 154 formed in the
When the compressed air is removed through the adsorbent, the desiccated dry air can be discharged to the outside of the filling space through the
FIG. 6B schematically shows the flow flow during the regeneration process, which is similar to that described above, but the flow flow is reversed (from the upper side to the lower side) and there is some difference in that there is no swirl flow composition.
That is, during the regeneration process, the dry air is distributed into the
As described above, the
According to another aspect of the present invention, a method of installing and checking a transformer using the
