Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to an energy storage device for an electric vehicle capable of heating a low-temperature battery, and more particularly, To an energy storage device and control method for an electric vehicle capable of heating a low temperature battery.
Generally, unlike ordinary vehicles, an electric vehicle controls an electric motor with a high-voltage high-capacity battery (hereinafter, referred to as a battery or an assist battery) so as to start the vehicle, to generate a torque at the time of vehicle start, , So-called re-starting after an idle stop, and energy for charging the battery through motor generation control by stopping power generation and power generation while driving.
Such an electric vehicle is equipped with a control device called a battery management system (BMS: hereinafter referred to as BMMS) having a function of operating and managing a battery.
The BMS mainly monitors the physical quantity of the battery, that is, the voltage, the current and the temperature, calculates and displays the state of charge (SOC) of the battery, displays the battery status information and the error information But also perform functions such as battery balancing, cooling, supply voltage and current limiting.
However, when the cell temperature is low, charging / discharging considering battery performance is extremely limited, and even the vehicle can not travel. In particular, low-temperature charging, which has a critical impact on battery life, is not recommended by the battery manufacturing industry
However, the above-described conventional technique raises the temperature of the battery through the process of driving or discharging the air conditioner before starting, so that it takes a long time to reach the normal temperature and the battery can be discharged completely.
First, terms used for the detailed description of the present invention will be described below.
In the present invention, a charger of an electric vehicle refers to a device that is selectively connected to an electric vehicle while the electric vehicle is parked and supplies power to the battery.
The regenerative current is generated by the back electromotive force of the electric motor which is higher than the voltage supplied from the battery to the motor in a state of motion such as sloping, backward, rapid acceleration, and sudden stop while the motor of the electric vehicle is driven by the power supplied by the battery . Since the regenerative current is larger than the voltage supplied to the motor from the battery, the battery is charged and charged.
BMS (Battery Management System) detects battery voltage and temperature and corrects cell balancing and charging status.
The battery is constituted by a secondary battery such as a LiB battery, a NaS battery, an RFB, a supercapacitor, etc. In the following description, a plurality of battery cells constituted by a lithium secondary battery are electrically connected to each other. The present invention is not limited to this, and all energy storage devices mounted on electric vehicles and capable of supplying electric power may be applied.
Hereinafter, the structure and operation of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 is a conceptual diagram of an energy storage device for an electric vehicle capable of heating a low-temperature battery according to the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, an

Accordingly, the present invention raises the temperature of the
The
In addition, the

For example, the
The
That is, the present invention is characterized in that the heat dissipation function of the heat dissipation means is reversed so that the heat generated by the
