Description
Embodiments relate to a fluid control system, and more particularly, to a fluid control system in which the operating efficiency of a compressor can be maintained by adjusting the temperature of a fluid flowing into the compressor to correspond to a changing operating condition of the compressor.
A fluid control system for controlling liquids or gaseous fluids uses a compressor to compress fluid. Compressors are designed to operate as efficiently as possible with a wide range of discharge pressures and flow rates. Not only compressor efficiency but also turn-down ratio (TR) are also important performance parameters of fluid control systems.
The compressor is designed to achieve the highest efficiency for the selected design point after selecting the desired discharge pressure and flow rate as the design point. In the operating area other than the design point, that is, in the off-design area, the efficiency of the compressor is significantly lowered, thereby increasing power consumption. In particular, a large-capacity compressor used in a factory, a large facility, or an infrastructure requires a high efficiency of the compressor even in a downscale area in a large-sized system or facility that operates the compressor because power consumption greatly changes with efficiency.
Control devices such as an inlet guide vane, a variable geometry diffuser, or a direct drive method for controlling the rotation speed per minute (RPM) may be used to control the operating area of the compressor, Used in combination.
US 6039534 discloses a structure of an inlet guide vane (IGV) used in a compressor.
Figure 1 shows a performance map of a compressor using an inlet guide vane of the prior art.
Compressors using IGV can control flow rate and pressure through flow velocity vector and differential pressure. However, if the IGV of the compressor is outside a certain range, the compressor operating range is limited due to the loss due to IGV, and the compressor efficiency is drastically reduced.
Figure 2 shows a performance map of a compressor using a variable shape diffuser of the prior art.
In the case of using VGD, the loss of the gap is inevitably generated. As in the case of the compressor using the IGV, the differential pressure due to the VGD is increased. Also, since both IGV and VGD are located before and after the rotor, there is a risk that resonance may occur. Therefore, there is a limitation in changing the number of vanes according to the characteristics of the rotor.
3 shows a performance map of a compressor by a compressor control technique controlling the rotational speed per minute (RPM) per minute of the prior art.
The control using RPM is relatively less efficient than the IGV or VGD in the off-design area, but it is difficult to apply it to large-capacity compressors due to mechanical limitations.
An object of embodiments is to provide a fluid control system that can respond to changes in the operating environment and maintain the efficiency of the compressor.
Another object of embodiments is to provide a fluid control system that can efficiently cope with a changing operating environment by controlling the temperature of the fluid flowing into the inlet of the compressor.
Another object of the embodiments is to provide a fluid control device capable of controlling the temperature of a fluid supplied to a compressor by returning a high temperature fluid discharged from a compressor to an inlet of the compressor or supplying a low temperature fluid discharged from an expander to an inlet of the compressor System.
A fluid control system according to one embodiment includes a compressor for compressing and discharging fluid, a chamber connected to the compressor for supplying fluid, a pressure sensing part for sensing the pressure of the fluid discharged from the compressor, A branch passage through which a part of the fluid discharged from the compressor flows, an expansion portion connected to the branch passage for expanding and cooling the fluid, and a valve for supplying the fluid discharged from the expansion portion to the chamber A second return passage connected to the branch passage upstream of the expansion portion to supply the fluid in the branch passage to the chamber, and a second return passage disposed in the branch passage and operated by an externally applied signal to expand the fluid in the branch passage. A branch valve for branching to a second regeneration passage, a flow rate sensor for detecting a flow rate of the fluid sensed by the flow rate sensing unit and a pressure of the fluid sensed by the pressure sensing unit, T and a control unit for controlling a branch valve.
When the flow rate sensed by the flow rate sensing unit or the pressure sensed by the pressure sensing unit exceeds the reference value, the control unit may operate the diverting valve to supply the low temperature fluid to the chamber through the first return passage.
The control unit can operate the branch valve to control the flow rate of the fluid supplied through the first return passage.
When the flow rate sensed by the flow rate sensing unit or the pressure sensed by the pressure sensing unit is less than the reference value, the control unit may operate the diverter valve to supply the high temperature fluid to the chamber through the second return passage.
The control section can operate the branch valve to control the flow rate of the fluid supplied through the second return passage.
The fluid control system may further include a temperature sensing unit that senses the temperature of the fluid flowing into the compressor, and the control unit controls the temperature sensing unit to raise or lower the temperature of the fluid in the chamber based on the temperature of the fluid sensed by the temperature sensing unit. The branch valve can be controlled.
The compressor may be a multi-stage compressor having a plurality of compression stages, and the temperature sensing section may include a plurality of temperature sensors that measure the temperature of the respective inlet of the plurality of compression stages.
The compressor may have an inlet through which the fluid is introduced and an outlet through which the fluid is discharged, and the pressure sensing portion may be installed in the discharge passage connected to the outlet of the compressor.
The flow sensing portion may be installed in the discharge passage.
The branch passage may be connected to the discharge passage.
The fluid control system according to the above-described embodiments can maintain the overall efficiency of the compressor by controlling the temperature of the fluid at the inlet of the compressor rather than directly adjusting the flow rate or pressure ratio of the compressor. That is, by controlling the temperature of the fluid at the inlet of the compressor, the efficiency of the compressor can be effectively maintained because the flow rate and the pressure ratio of the currently operating compressor are included in the compressor operating region corresponding to the temperature of the controlled fluid.

In the fluid control system according to the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the fluid control system includes a
The RPM (revolutions per minute) in the turbo device is divided into the actual mechanical rotational speed (RPM) of the driven
In Equation (1), N C corresponds to the correction rotation speed, N M to the mechanical rotation speed, T act corresponds to the ambient temperature at which the compressor operates, and T DP corresponds to the inlet temperature of the compressor.
When the compressor is operating at a constant mechanical speed, the correction rotational speed decreases as the inlet temperature increases. Conversely, as the inlet temperature decreases, the correction rotational speed increases. The relationship between the flow rate Q of the compressor, the pressure ratio Pr and the correction rotational speed N C is defined by the following equation (2).
Referring to
On the other hand, the efficiency of the compressor slightly changes according to the Reynolds number and the impeller speed at the impeller inlet according to the variation of the correction rotation speed.
The
Although gas is used for the fluid passing through various fluid machinery elements including the
The compressor (10) is connected to a chamber (20) which supplies fluid to the inlet (11) of the compressor (10). The

The fluid discharged from the compressor (10) is transferred to the discharge passage (140) through the discharge pipe (12a). The
The
The outlet of the expanding section (60) is connected to the chamber (20) through the first return passage (70). The

The
In the illustrated embodiment, the
The
When the flow rate sensed by the flow
When the flow rate detected by the flow
The
When the detected pressure or flow rate of the fluid exceeds the reference value of the compressor operation data, the
The
Therefore, when it is necessary to reduce the flow rate and the pressure ratio at which the
FIG. 6 is a graph comparing the efficiency of the fluid control system of FIG. 4 with the technique using the inlet guide vane, FIG. 7 is a graph showing the efficiency of the fluid control system of FIG. It is a graph.
The graph shown by the dotted line in FIG. 6 shows the relationship between flow rate and efficiency when controlling the compressor using the inlet guide vane (IGV). The graph shown by the dotted line in FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the flow rate and the efficiency when controlling the revolution speed (RPM) per minute of the compressor.
6 and 7, the control efficiency by IGV or RPM is normally maintained in the region of the normal temperature (Tin = 300K). However, in regions where the temperature has risen (Tin = 360K, Tin = 330K) It can be seen that the efficiency of the compressor is reduced even if the control is used.
The overall efficiency of the
